If you remember, in 2006, an image of a supposed-Nokia N97 circulated the Net.

And yes, it looked ugly and dated. Boxy, to say the least. Nothing that hasn't been done before -- better.
Well, thankfully, it was a just a hoax. Yey.
Fast forward to December 2, 2008, Nokia World Conference 2008 ~ Barcelona, Spain: Nokia finally unveiled the latest iteration to its N-Series (the high-end smartphones) ~ Ladies and gentlemen, the one and only, the original N97:

And it's everything the technorati (well, most of them) imagined it to be:
Sleek -- with 5 megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, 3.5-inch (16:9 aspect ratio) touchscreen display (Take that, iPhone!), HSDPA, Wifi, BlueTooth, 32Gb on-board memory, microSD expansion slot... blah blah... Darn too many cool specs!!
