HTC Desire Z : Slide Mechanism and Form Factor Appreciation, In-the-Flesh Photos!

This, in my opinion, is the best slide-out Android phone you can find in the market today. I mean, its case alone conveys an impression that it's a cut above the rest --

It's clad in metal. Real durable metal. Not flimsy plastic.

So what’s more important to you — a responsive touch screen that lets you easily surf the web and play with apps or a full QWERTY keyboard for quickly typing texts, emails or documents? Well, with the gorgeous HTC Desire Z you get both.

Flaunting a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen Super Clear LCD display, HTC Desire Z runs Android 2.2 OS skinned by HTC Sense with its 800 MHz Scorpion CPU.

The phones sports a 5 MegaPixel camera with LED flash and Autofocus, which also shoots HD 720p videos, and features a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB, a 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port, digital compass, accelerometer and proximity sensor. As for connectivity, HTC Desire Z supports 3G, Wifi and Bluetooth.

HTC Desire Z's hinge doesn't just slide open; It lifts up and snaps in place. This gives the phone a streamlined look even when the full keyboard is exposed.

  1. I think there's a store somewhere in SM North selling it for as low as 25k. But... isn't this an old phone? (Like, launched early last year?) I was expecting a price drop so I can buy it already. Haha... I guess HTC phones don't depreciate quickly.

  2. You can buy this from online stores in TPC at around 21k+ I think. Oh Samsung, why don't you learn one or two from HTC when it comes to quality builds? Specwise, it's Apple vs. Samsung, but buildwise, it's definitely Apple vs. HTC.

  3. Because Samsung phones are relatively cheaper(?)

Except for the Galaxy S and Wave phone. :)
