Manila Cathedral Holy Week Visit

I think one of the most meaningful things you can do this Holy Week is to visit a church near you and say a prayer of forgiveness and thanksgiving.

Yesterday, I visited one of my most favorite churches in the whole of Philippines, The Manila Cathedral located in Intramuros, to do just that. I've been thinking about my life lately and I realized that in as much as I have a lot of things to be thankful for, I also have a lot of reasons to ask for forgiveness.

I love going to Manila Cathedral not only because of the grandeur of its architecture and its rich history, but also because of my devotion to Mama Mary. You see, Manila Cathedral is also known as Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception as it is dedicated to the Patroness of the Philippines, The Blessed Virgin Mary under the title Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.

If you haven't been to the Manila Cathedral for the longest time and you're wondering how the church looks like now, you might want to check out these photos that I took using my HTC Desire HD;

Manila Cathedral is still as beautiful as ever.

If you're doing the Visita Iglesia this Holy Week, I hope you can include the Manila Cathedral as part of your itinerary. I promise you, it will definitely be worth it.

God bless, TP Friends! Here's to a meaningful Holy Week.
