If you like hanging out at SM Malls, then you might as well download this app to make your stay there more rewarding.
SM has just released the SM iButterfly, an Augmented Reality application for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, which you can use for a fun and entertaining couponing experience at select SM Supermalls. You can use this app at SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM City Baguio, SM City Davao SM North EDSA, SM City Fairview, SM Southmall, and SM City Cebu.
iButterfly uses 3 technologies. Augmented Reality, for seeing the iButterflies in the real world, Motion Sensors for catching iButterflies using your phone and your phone's Global Positioning System or GPS for finding exactly where the iButterflies are. It is definitely a unique way of enjoying promos from SM's tenant partners such as Starbucks, McDonald's, Chowking, Krispy Kreme, Red Ribbon, Forever 21, David’s Salon, Kenny Rogers, Mang Inasal, Greenwich, Smart, BDO and Jollibee!
Catching an iButterfly is easy.
First, using your Android or iOS mobile device and Wifi or 3G connection, simply download the iButterfly Asia App via Google Play or App Store. Then, just open the App and start looking for and catching iButterflies! These turn into instant prizes, which you can claim at participating mall stores. Easy!
iButterfly at SM MegaMall!
As a sustaining effort, SM MegaMall launched its own iButterfly campaign offering instant prizes from stores including Yabu, Akiba Café, Papa John’s, Cha Time, Marithe Francois Girbaud, J.CO Donuts & Coffee, and even SM Megamall Cinema.
An iButterfly catch-up event was held at the SM Megamall Mega Atrium last June 8, 2012 with special guests like Tim Yap, Tessa-Prieto Valdez, Jenni Epperson, and more. Guests enjoyed an iButterfly tutorial from YouTube sensations Bogart the Explorer and Petra Mahalimuyak and had a fun SM iButterfly experience.
