If you're thinking about upgrading to the Samsung Galaxy Note II from your first generation Note or if you're simply considering the 'phablet' to be your next smartphone, then you might want to watch the Korean company's official SGNote2 demo video first to aid your decision.

Flaunting the same 'inspired by nature' pebble-like design identity of Samsung Galaxy S3, the smartphone-tablet hybrid - late-2012 flagship release - Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes replete with top-notch technical specifications, which include a massive 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, Quad-core 1.6 GHz Exynos 4412 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating System, 8 MegaPixel camera, Full HD video recorder, 3100 mAh Li-Ion battery and an all-new S-Pen stylus. More about this beast of a handset on TechPinas' feature post.

Samsung Mobile's demo video highlights some of the key hardware and software strengths of phablet, namely, its display with 16:9 aspect ratio, ergonomic design, enhanced readability and video viewing experience, the new gallery, Air View content preview using the new S-Pen, Quick Command for pen gesture shortcuts, Pop-up play, Pop-up Note that lets you take notes without interrupting whatever you're doing on the screen, Screen Recorder, Easy Clip for quick on-screen capture and sharing, Personalized Handwriting on Emails and Calendar, S Note Greeting, and Best Faces.

As some of you know, I own a first generation Samsung Galaxy Note and from the get-go, I've made no secret of my feelings about its stylus; For me, it's just a tad gimmicky. (Nonetheless, all things considered, I think SGNote is a truly incredible handset that gives us a glimpse to the future of smartphones.) While the video above didn't really convince me all that much to upgrade to SGNote2, it did one thing for me that I'm grateful for; It made me appreciate my Note and its stylus all the more. So yes, I think I'll hand-write on my "인내" more regularly starting today.
