iPad Mini Philippines, Officially Available! Price Schedule, Out! Why I Don't Regret Getting A Unit From Kimstore A Month Ago and What I Really Think About The Mini Slate!

Almost two months after it was officially released in the United States and in other 'key markets' for the Cupertino company, the Apple iPad Mini finally sees its formal launch in the Philippines today, December 21, 2012. (So yes, you can also say that it's two months tardy.)

Thankfully, the world didn't end today so, at least, Pinoy fans who've long been planning to get the iDevice only from an Apple-sanctioned reseller can finally celebrate and fall in line for their much awaited slate.

Apple iPad Mini is one of the most talked about gadgets here in TechPinas for this year. We were able to cover news and updates about the device from as far back as when all we had were rumors up to when it was officially unveiled by Apple on October 24, 2012. Kindly use our search bar to look for TP iPad Mini articles.

I have here the official price schedule for Apple iPad Mini. Prices start at only Php 15,990 for the 16GB variant in both colors and go all the way up to Php 31,990 for the WiFi+Cellular 64GB version. Grey market and online sellers, kindly note; You wouldn't want to go higher than these.

As you all know, I got my Apple iPad Mini 16GB White from Kimstore for Php 17,500 a month ago -- that's exactly Php 1,510 more than the official SRP. Do I regret going forward with the deal, you ask? Of course not! I would have happily handed that extra amount to Kim anyway for the hassle of bringing the device here and handing it to me way ahead of the others. Also, because I was able to play with the iPad Mini extensively ahead of its formal launch, I can say these words to those who are just planning to get the device now with utter certainty:

"I know I said I didn't like iPad Mini that much when it was unveiled by the company a few months back. But after several weeks of actually using the product, I've changed my mind about it. This, I think, is what's going to be hot for Apple in the future. It just makes sense and it's a joy to use. And I predict that the refresh next year with Retina Display will be one of the best selling tablets of 2013 and will probably even outsell the regular-sized iPad. But off hand, the current release is an incredibly strong one and is definitely worth checking out."
