I've just received an email from our friends at BlackBerry Philippines confirming that the official launch of BlackBerry Z10 in the country will be on March 6, 2013 - that's Wednesday next week!
As some of you know, I've already unboxed and played with BlackBerry Z10 -- thanks to my friend, Frank Schuengel, who had a unit shipped to his office in Makati all the way from Europe a few days after the flagship handset was formally unveiled in New York. Kindly check out that TP post for in-the-flesh photos as well as my initial impressions of the first smartphone to run the all-new BlackBerry 10 operating system.
BlackBerry Philippines has yet to disclose the exact date when Z10 will become available via the company's authorized retailers nationwide as well at its network carriers. Likewise, no word yet on the handset's official suggested retail price. Note that the event to be held next week will just be to formally introduce the device to the local media and most likely won't coincide with the first day of sales. Nonetheless, I'm expecting BlackBerry Z10 to hit store shelves a week or two after the launch. Stay tuned for updates!
