Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0 Price Php 8,999, Specs, Antutu Benchmark Test Score, Key Features

Local electronics giant, Cherry Mobile, is now poised to make its 5th Quad Core powered Android device available across the country.

Quoting CM, "With the success of the release of Cherry Mobile SkyFire 2.0, Cherry Mobile is pumped-up to provide more Quad-Devices to our beloved consumers. Now, we are proud to announce that our first 12 MegaPixel BSI Camera Smartphone is now equipped with a faster quad core processor."

Cherry Mobile HD 2.0 sports all the bells and whistles of its direct predecessor, CM's early 2012 best-seller Cherry Mobile Omega HD. The two handsets flaunt practically the same design identity and key technical specifications including a 5-inch HD display protected by scratch-resistant Dragontrail Glass, 12 MegaPixel main camera with LED flash plus a 2 MegaPixel front-facing snapper - both with back-illuminated sensor, 1 GB of RAM, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 4 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card slot, and a 2100 mAh battery pack.

The main difference between the two, though, is that version 2.0 comes with a quad core processor as opposed to the dual core chip powering CM Omega HD. As yet, Cherry Mobile has made no mention of the exact quad core CPU model running the fresher release but looking at the rather high 12,660 Antutu Benchmark Test score that it got upon testing by the company, I'm guessing that its the same ARM Cortex A7 based MediaTek MT6589 chipset found on MyPhone A919i Duo.

Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0 dons an official suggested retail price of only Php 8,999, which just a thousand pesos more expensive than the dual core variant. As for its availability, CM usually releases its handsets on the same day of their media announcement so this one should already be out for purchase at most Cherry Mobile kiosks nationwide.
