Nokia Lumia 925 Philippines Price and Release Date Guesstimate, Complete Technical Specifications, Key Camera Features

Earlier this week, Nokia officially introduced the stunning Nokia Lumia 925, which is basically a refresh of the Finnish company's award-winning flagship handset, Nokia Lumia 920. Nokia Lumia 925 introduces a tougher and perhaps more elegant aluminum shell to the Nokia Lumia range and showcases the latest PureView camera innovation, third party applications as well as other key new features.

Nokia Lumia 925 sports the most advanced lens technology in this line and the company's next generation imaging software to capture clearer, sharper, and more vibrant pictures and video, including the best low light images that a smartphone can possibly deliver.

The new flagship also features the brand new Nokia Smart Camera mode, which will eventually come via an update to all Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphones. Nokia Smart Camera lets users capture ten images at once and edit the pictures with options like Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus for creating the ideal high quality image for sharing on social networking sites.

Eager to get Instagram on your Lumia? Hipstamatic has a new app called 'Oggl', which will arrive on Nokia Lumia smartphones soon. Oggle allows users to take and share high quality pictures with other like-minded creatives and photography enthusiasts from around the world. In addition to sharing photos on Oggl, users can simultaneously share photos on social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Foursquare, and Flickr.

A few weeks back, Nokia launched the highly-successful hashtag campaign #2InstaWithLove on Facebook and Twitter to urge Instagram to come up with an application for the Windows Phone platform. We've yet to see whether Instagram considered the request of millions of Nokia Lumia users or if the online photo sharing and social networking site decided to altogether snob them.

As I've shared, Nokia Lumia 925 introduces metal for the first time to the Nokia Lumia range, bringing appeal and unique benefits like increased durability and robustness. For those who love changing the color of their handsets based on their mood or to match their outfit, this new Lumia comes with a swappable polycarbonate back cover that's available in White, Grey, Red, or Black. A wireless charging cover can likewise be clipped onto the back of the phone to take advantage of Nokia’s extensive wireless charging accessories and ecosystem.

Leading Nokia services, such as the HERE maps suite of integrated navigation and location services and Nokia Music for unlimited streaming of free music tracks and playlists, add to the great proposition offered by Nokia Lumia 925.

Nokia's new flagship handset Nokia Lumia 925 will be introduced into the United States by T-Mobile and into China by China Mobile and China Unicom. Sales are expected to start in the UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, and China in June 2013, followed by the US and a number of other markets -- hopefully, including the Philippines. The Nokia Lumia 925 will be priced around 469 EUR before taxes and subsidies in other territories. No definite word yet on its availability and pricing details in the Philippines but we're guessing that the handset will become available here by Q3 2013 with SRP of roughly Php 25,000.

Update as of August 1, 2013: Nokia Lumia 925 has been officially launched in the Philippines and it will be available at all Nokia Stores nationwide starting August 19, 2013 for only Php 23,500 sans contract with White, Black, and Grey as the color offerings. It will also be available as a free bundled handset with Smart LTE Postpaid Plan 1500.
