Nokia Philippines Twitter Contest for Nokia Lumia 920, 820, 720 and 620, A Big Success!

I just want to congratulate Nokia Pilipinas for the highly successful Twitter campaign and contest that the company mounted on the social media site today.

To join, interested participants simply had to tweet the reasons why they want to switch to Nokia's Lumia line of WP8 handsets and the exact model of their choice while adding the hashtag #ReasonsToSwitchTo #Lumia(model). The smartphones included in the promo are Nokia Lumia 520 - the most affordable WP8 device in the market currently, the cute Nokia Lumia 620 with swappable shells, Nokia Lumia 720 sporting the most powerful low light camera in the world today, the sleek Nokia Lumia 820 business phone, and the flagship-level Nokia Lumia 920 with its OIS PureView imaging innovation.

The Twitter contest, which will run until 12 midnight (Yes, you still have time to join!), has been so successful that all related hashtags namely, #ReasonsToSwitchTo, #Lumia920, #Lumia820, #Lumia720, and #Lumia620, became trending topics in the Philippines!

Here are some cool tweets from Pinoy Nokia fans that helped propel the above-mentioned hashtags to Twitter trending status:

I've been using the Nokia Lumia 720 for a few days now and I have nothing but good words about it. The polycarbonate unibody design is arresting and the build feels premium and high-end. Likewise, as one would expect from a WP8 handset, the user interface is bold and slick and the touch response, velvety and smooth.

But the best thing about this smartphone would have to be its low light imaging capability. I've used many smartphones - some of which have very powerful cameras like Nokia N8, iPhone 5, and Nokia 808 PureView - and I'd have to say that when it comes to taking photos in poorly lit settings, Nokia Lumia 720 truly takes the crown. I've been taking lots of photos using this cool WP8 device and I'll definitely share some interesting shots with you in the coming days.

Way to go, Nokia Philippines and Wunderman! Thumbs up!
