Windows 8.1 Tablet, Acer Iconia W4

Windows 8 powered Dell Latitude 10 tablet, on the other hand, goes for roughly Php 29,999 and for that amount you get a decent set of innards including the Intel Atom Dual Core Z2760 CPU, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM (800MHz), Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (533MHz), and the 64 GB of SSD expandable via SD card slot supporting up to 64GB. The slate flaunts a 10.1-inch 1366 X 768 pixels resolution IPS Wide View Angle LCD protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass, 2 MegaPixel front cam, 8 MegaPixel autofocus main camera at the back with LED flash, USB 2.0 port, docking connector, stereo headphone/microphone combo jack, micro-USB charging port, mini-HDMI port, mini-SIM (WWAN only), Full size SecureDigital card slot and micro SIM slot, and WiFi and WWAN connectivity support. What I love about Dell Latitude 10 is that it comes with Wacom Active Stylus Support, which is great for graphic artists, and it has a swappable or removable battery unlike most other tablets out in the market.

Windows 8.1 Hybrid, HP Split X2

Powerhouse hybrid HP ENVY Split 13 runs Windows 8 64-bit (with free upgrade to Windows 8.1) with its 3rd generation Intel Core i5-3339Y Processor. The device, which is "split" between a tablet and an ultrabook, features a 128 GB SSD, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000, 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 touch screen, 1 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 on the keyboard base, 1 USB 2.0 port, HDMI, and Headphone out/Microphone in combo jack. ENVY is HP's luxury line of products and this hybrid's Php 55,000 price tag reflects that. Nonetheless, considering everything that it gives you - including its gorgeous design and solid build - I think the price is just right.


Korean Giant Samsung is on a roll these days - especially in the mobile category - and their fans will be glad to know that they also have a cool Windows 8 tablet with great features in their current line-up. Samsung ATIV Tab 3 runs on an Intel Atom Processor Z2760 (1.8 GHz, 1 MB L2 Cache) processor and comes replete with an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator, a 10.1-inch SuperBright+ 400 nit HD LED-backlit Display (1366 x 768), 2 GB LPDDR2 System Memory at 800MHz (on BD 2 GB), 64 GB e.MMC iNAND Embedded Flash Drive, Stereo Speakers (0.64 W W x 2), Internal Dual Array Digital Mic, 720p HD Webcam in front, a 2 MegaPixel camera with LED Flash at the back, and 802.11 abg/n WiFi and Bluetooth V4.0 connectivity support. Ports include Micro HDMI, micro-USB 2.0, MicroSD Multi-media Card Reader, Headphone out / Mic-in Combo, and 12 V / 3.33 A DC-in. This metal-clad slate has an SRP of around Php 35,900.


Sony VAIO Tap 11 is a Windows 8 64-bit tablet, which has a kick stand a separate keyboard, which also works as a screen cover when you carry the device or keep in the bag. It features a 4th Generation Intel Core i5 4210Y (1.50GHz / 1.90GHz) processor, 11.6 inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution IPS capacitive touch display, 4 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 4200, 8 MegaPixel Exmor RS rear camera, Exmor R HD Web Camera front camera, Digitizer stylus support, micro HDMI out, USB 3.0, and NFC connectivity support on top of WiFi and Bluetooth. With SRP of Php 69,999, the legendary Japanese company's new tablet's selling points would have to be its innovative and ergonomic design language, the stylus support - perfect for graphic artists, and its large internal storage.


Priced at Php 75,000, Toshiba Portege Z10t may be a bit on the pricey side but you do get that downright gorgeous and extremely solid build plus top-notch innards and business features. The corporate tablet-ultrabook hybrid runs Windows 8 Pro with its Intel Core i5 3339Y 1.5 GHz CPU and comes replete with 4GB RAM Intel HD Graphics, 128 GB SSD, 11.6 inch Full HD display with 10 point multitouch, scratch-resistant glass face, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3 MegaPixel rear camera, USB 3.0 port, Micro HDMI, Headphone Mic Combo, and Card reader. According to Toshiba, Z10t is designed to withstand the pressures of professional life and has been rigorously tested to the Japanese company's high quality and reliability standards. Even if you accidentally spill your drink, the spill-resistant keyboard gives you time to shut down and protect your data. It's also been drop-tested up to 75 cm (30"), which means that you don't have to worry about losing valuable information if you accidentally lose your grip on the Z10t.
