10 Key Features of Android Lollipop

At the receiving area for tech bloggers and members of the media during the launch of Android One smartphones in the Philippines held last February 17, 2015 at WhiteSpace in Makati City, Google set up a cool display*slash*exhibit at the back of the small stage showing 10 key features of the latest version of their mobile operating system called Android Lollipop.

This list pretty much answers one of the questions that I would often get from my readers and friends following the official announcement of this version of the Android OS -- so I thought I'd take photos of each 'lollipop' and share them with you guys. Here you go, TP Friends:

So which of these Android Lollipop features is your favorite? Well, mine would have to be the very sleek and attractive Material Design user interface and the new Battery Saver software enhancement -- though all ten new features are important to me as someone who sees his Android smartphone as a staple mobile companion.

Is your smartphone getting Android Lollipop firmware upgrade? Apart from Nexus releases (starting with LG Nexus 4), all flagship smartphones by LG, Samsung, HTC, Asus (ZenFone line) and Sony (entire Xperia Z-series line-up) will be receiving a software upgrade to Lollipop within the next few weeks or months. LG and Samsung have actually started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade for the best-selling LG G3 in South East Asia and Samsung Galaxy S5 in Europe.
