Acer Philippines Smartphones Price List : Early 2016 Professional Series Models

"Sir Mark, I heard that Acer Philippines is now selling smartphones. Can you give me a list of the models that they are offering?"

"How much are Acer smartphones in the Philippines, Mark?"

"Bro, what are the technical specifications of Acer's midrange and flagship level handsets? Are they good?"

These are only some of the questions I'd often get from my readers about the Taiwanese company's current handset releases. And yesterday, I got another one from TP Friend, Charlie Canson, on Twitter.

I love having conversations with my TP Friends. If you have tech questions, feel free to tweet me or to add me on Facebook so we can talk about it.

I'm planning to write a number of blog posts explaining the key features and technical specifications of Acer Philippines' 2016 smartphone models but for now, just to answer Charlie's question, allow me to share with you the contents of the company's current product catalogue showcasing its Professional Series handsets for the first few months of 2016.

Acer Philippines Smartphones

Acer has smartphones ranging from budget-friendly entry-level models all the way to the powerhouse flagship release. Let's take a look at all the offerings one by one.

Acer Liquid M220

Acer Liquid M220 is the company's most affordable mobile device to date donning an SRP of just Php 2,490. It runs Windows 8.1 Operating system packed with Microsoft Office for Mobile applications and sports a 4-inch WVGA TN display, 5 MegaPixel rear cam with LED flash, 2MP front cam, HD video recorder, Dual SIM Dual Standby capability, 3G HSPA+ support, and a 1,300 mAh battery pack. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon 200 chipset that's complemented by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM.

Acer Liquid Z330

Priced at only Php 3,990, Acer Liquid Z330 is the Taiwanese electronics giant's most affordable Professional Series Android phone. And what's particularly special about this budget-friendly model is that it already supports 4G LTE mobile data speeds! Not only that, it also comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 5 MegaPixel main camera with LED flash, another 5 MP front cam, Quad Core MSM8909 processor, 1GB of RAM, 2,000 mAh battery pack, and 8GB of internal storage that you can easily augment using the microSD card expansion slot! If you ask me, this Dual SIM Android 4.4 KitKat smartphone is one of the best value for money products by an international manufacturer that's available to Pinoys.

Acer Liquid Z520

Php 4,990 Acer Liquid Z520 is made for Android fans who love taking photos and viewing images as well as movies on the go. It sports a fairly large 5-inch FWVGA TN display, comes with an 8 MegaPixel autofocus main camera with LED flash, and runs on a 1.3 GHz Quad Core MediaTek MT6582M processor.

Acer Liquid Z630

Acer Liquid Z630 is the company's version of a gorgeous budget Android phablet. And just from looking at its technical specifications, I'm inclined to recommend it. Imagine: For just Php 6,990, you already get a device from an international brand that is equipped with a 5.5-inch HD IPS screen, 8 MegaPixel front and back camera combo, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, Dual SIM capability, 64-Bit 1.3 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A53 and Mali T720 based MediaTek MT6735 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a massive 4,000 mAh battery pack, and LTE connectivity support! If you ask me, I think this one's definitely worth checking out!

Acer Liquid Jade

Php 8,990 Acer Liquid Jade is the Android smartphone that Toni Gonzaga promoted for the company via that TVC -- if you remember it. The main selling point of this model - I believe - is that it looks attractive. I've seen it in the flesh and yes, it's quite a stunner. But when it comes to value for money, I think I'd rather go with the more affordable but more powerful Z630.

Acer Liquid E700

Acer Liquid E700 has many things going for it that makes it a compelling purchase at Php 9,990. For one, it's the only Triple SIM Android smartphone that you can get in the Philippines as of writing! On top of that, it has a 2 MegaPixel front cam with Soft LED Torchlight allowing you take selfies even in extreme low light conditions and it also comes with a rather sizable 3,500 mAh battery pack delivering up to 24 hours of uptime with regular use. It's quite special.

Acer Liquid X1

The current flagship model - which I have in my collection is still Acer Liquid X1! Featuring various software and hardware innovations from the company's including the unique rear button with customizable functionality, Liquid X1 flaunts a massive 5.7-inch HD IPS display, 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 2 MegaPixel front cam, Full HD video recorder, and a 2,700 mAh battery pack. At its heart, it runs on an Octa Core 1.7 GHz ARM Cortex A7 and Mali 450 based MediaTek MT6592 chipset, has 2GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of expandable storage for photos, videos, and other content. Design-wise, it features a soft-touch back cover replete with subtle but elegant metallic accents.

Stay tuned for more posts about Acer smartphones and tablets this year, TP Friends! Obviously, rhe Taiwanese company is becoming more aggressive than ever before in trying to capture a good portion of the mobile market in our country. This will make competition even tighter, which will - in turn - benefit all consumers as this is what drives companies to come up with incredible products donning very competitive price tags. Exciting, eh?
