Here's another photo of a freshly launched smartphone that TP Friend Charles Quiachon sent me over the weekend. He spotted this handset model while strolling in SM North EDSA CyberZone last Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Donning an SRP of Php 6,999, Lenovo Vibe K5 has a number of cool features that are sure to capture the fancy of Pinoy consumers.
If you ask me, the most attractive selling point of this midrange release is its light-weight aluminum shell that makes the device look far more expensive than it actually is. At the back, the corners and edges are softened via gentle curves, making Vibe K5 a joy to hold and behold.
It also doesn't hurt that its internal hardware more than decent for an international release in this price echelon. Under the hood, the handset runs its Vibe-UI-flavored Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with a Octa Core Qualcomm MSM8929 Snapdragon 415 chipset, has 2GB of RAM for multitasking, and comes with 16GB of expandable storage. Not bad, right?
On the outside, the device flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display panel, 13 MegaPixel autofocus main camera with LED flash, 5 MegaPixel selfie cam in front, and Full HD video recorder.
Dual SIM Dual Standby, 4G LTE enabled Lenovo Vibe K5 is powered by a non-removable 2,750 mAh Li-Ion battery, which I think is just right considering the size of the display. I'd love for the pack to be bigger but as it is, it's alright.
