Asus Philippines Zenvolution 2016 : What To Expect? FAQs, Answered!

Tomorrow - August 14, 2016 - through Zenvolution, an exclusive event that the Taiwanese company will be holding for bloggers, members of the media, and 500 of its loyal fans from across the country, Asus Philippines will formally unveil its latest smartphones, hybrids, and ultrabooks for the latter part of this year.

I'm sure almost all of you are already familiar with the three flagship-level handset models that will be announced (After all, I've already posted several articles about them following my Computex 2016 experience with our friends from the company) -- but for the few who have yet to see them, let me present a brief introduction about the devices again.

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the world's first ever handset to flaunt a full metal unibody that has no visible antenna lines, giving it a more streamlined look and making it downright gorgeous.

Definitely not all-looks-no-substance, ZF3Deluxe is equipped with a 5.7-inch Full HD AMOLED display, 23 MegaPixel main camera (with f/2.0 aperture, Tri-Tech autofocus, 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization, and Dual Tone LED flash), 8 MegaPixel front cam for selfies with f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recorder.

At its heart, it runs its ZenUI-flavored Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the beastly 64-Bit Quad Core Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, has a whopping 6GB of RAM for ultra-smooth multitasking, and comes with 128GB of expandable storage. The combination of these internal hardware makes the Dual SIM 4G-enabled Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe one of the most powerful smartphones of 2016.

A beauty and a beast at the same time, Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe ZS570KL has an official SRP of $499 USD.

Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra

At its heart, it runs on a 64-Bit Octa Core Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 processor, runs on either 3GB of 4GB of RAM (depending on variant), and offers 32, 64, or 128GB expandable storage options.

The base model of Asus ZenFone 3 ZE520KL will don an SRP of $249 USD while that of the bigger ZE552KL is expected to cost around $300.

More ZenFone Models!

Asus from the three above-mentioned upper echelon models, the Taiwanese electronics company is also expected to announce a couple of midrange handsets, great for Asus fans who are a bit tight on budget but want to get the most value for their money.

There's the Asus ZenFone 3 Max, which sports a 5.2-inch HD IPS display and a big 4,130 mAh battery pack, ensuring multiple days of uptime from a full charge with regular use. It also features a 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera at the back, 5MP front cam for selfies, and a Full HD video recorder. This 4G-enabled Dual SIM handset runs its Zen-UI-skinned Android Marshmallow OS with a 64-Bit Quad Core MediaTek MT6737T processor, handles multitasking with 3GB of RAM, and comes with 32GB of expandable storage. As for the price, I'm expecting this model to don an SRP in the range of Php 9,000 to Php 10,000.

Flaunting the same full metal build and perhaps a slightly more expensive SRP than ZF3Max, the Asus ZenFone 3 Laser is equipped with a larger 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera with Sony IMX214 sensor, 8 MP front cam for selfies, and a 3,000 mAh battery pack. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-Bit Octa Core Qualcomm Snapgradon 430 processor, has 4GB of RAM for multitasking, and comes with 32GB of expandable storage.

Notebooks and Hybrids

There's a big chance that Asus would also take the opportunity to let the company's fans experience the all-new ZenBook 3 UX390UA as well as the much-talked-about Asus Transformer Pro 3 and its smaller and less powerful iterations.

Weighing less than a kilogram and measuring only 11.9 millimeters at its thickest point, the ultra-premium ZenBook 3 ultrabook flaunts an aerospace-grade alloy shell and features a 12.5-inch Full HD display, latest Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM, an ultra-fast up to 1TB PCIe Gen 3 SSD and the latest USB-C port.

On the other hand, Asus Transformer Pro 3 is a powerful Windows 10 tablet that transforms into a notebook -- thanks to its Cover Keyboard.

Asus Transformer Pro 3 comes with an redesigned integrated metal kickstand with a 155° stepless hinge allowing the user to set or recline the screen at pretty much any angle — up to 170°, perfect for using the included stylus for capacitive glass touchscreen.

A legit Microsoft Surface Pro killer, this metal-clad hybrid has the same beastly internal specs as the ZenBook 3 and even comes with a 12.5-inch IPS display with high-res 3K or 2880 x 1920 pixels resolution!
