Google's iPad KILLER Wows !! Google Tablet Concept Unveiled - Photos, Video !!

Yesterday, Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, was quoted telling Apple employees at a Town Hall meet,

"Make no mistake [Google wants] to kill the iPhone."

As it turns out though, it is not only the iPhone Google wants to kill.

Presenting the 'Google Tablet' UI concept (NOTE: This is still under development):

This [...] contains visual explorations of how a Chrome OS tablet UI might look in hardware. Some possibilites [Google explores] include:

1. Keyboard interaction with the screen: anchored, split, attached to focus.
2. Launchers as an overlay, providing touch or search as means to access web sites.
3. Contextual actions triggered via dwell.
4. Zooming UI for multiple tabs
5. Tabs presented along the side of the screen
6. Creating multiple browsers on screen using a launcher

Featuring a quite sizable onscreen keyboard (Photos courtesy of Google)

... that shrinks to show the list of your typical Chrome apps

There goes the copy-paste function and link options

and the best part: It lets you multi-task.

Here's the concept video:

  2. The best thing is that there seems to be a lot of helathy competition with Kindle, iPAD and now this. I think it will result in none being the killer of the other.

  3. So far all we're seeing from the competition are yet more boring slate netbooks with capacitive touchscreen. It's like they're not even trying.
