How to Use your Micro-SIM for Globe Unlimited Data Plan

After inserting the micro-SIM into the SIM tray/slot, follow these easy steps:

1. Go to “Settings”.
2. Press “Reset” then “Reset Network Settings”
3. Go to “Cellular Data”
4. Press “APN”
5. Change APN to
a. Postpaid: internet.globe.com.ph
b. Prepaid: http.globe.com.ph
6. Deactivate Wi-Fi to be able to browse using the SIM (click Wi-Fi menu, turn-off)

NOTE: Every time you remove your Micro-SIM and then re-insert it, you need to go through Steps 1-6 again.

  1. This promotional ad by Globe is a big joke.

    I dropped by several Globe stores and as of today (June 25, 2010), the microsim is only available in unlimited plan but the equally advertised prepaid microsim is "unheard" of by Globe staff I approached.

    It's funny, you can try calling the Globe customer hotline and they have not heard of the microsim, as if I invented a product and making a fool out of these noob CSRs! Haha!

    Globe should stop advertising as if their product line is available already. Because at the moment, it smacks of marketing gimmick, pure and simple! This is very annoying and such a waste of time.

  2. I agree with my fellow Anonymous peer up there. lol! There is a cutter in sulit that is capable of cutting existing sim cards and shape them into microsim.

    I dont like the 3g service of Globe. Sooooooobrang bagal. if 990 per month sana they throw in the ipad na rin.

  3. Yes Globe’s pre-paid Micro-SIM is a joke. I dropped by several Globe business centers last week and they said they only have it in the unlimited plan....kainis.
