Mark Caguioa Named PBA MVP 2012, Reads Acceptance Speech on an Apple iPad!

It appears one of the Philippines' biggest sports superstars is also rather tech-savvy.

Last Sunday, after being named Philippine Basketball Association's Most Valuable Player for this year, Ginebra shooting guard Mark Caguioa turned to an Apple tablet to read his acceptance speech.

Spotted! Mark "The Spark" Caguioa with an iPad! Not sure if it's the 2nd Generation or the 3rd generation slate as both look identical from the back. Maybe we should ask him on Twitter.

Anyway, I've taken the liberty of transcribing his speech (because I'm a hardcore Ginebra fan like that - from Jaworski to Marlou Aquino and Bal David in the 90's and now, the Helterbrand-Caguiao days), here you go:

"Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat.

First and foremost, I would like to thank the Lord. I would like to thank the press and the media, and the PBA commissioner for this award. I would to thank the Ginebra San Miguel management and the coaching staff, and especially, my teammates for making this possible.

And to the fans, I wanna say thank you for the inspiration you give me to play every game; You make me proud to wear the Ginebra jersey. Thank you for making this moment in my career in the PBA unforgettable.

At nagpapasalamat ulit ako for sharing this unforgettable experience. Maraming salamat ulit."

Mabuhay ka, Kabarangay Mark 'The Spark' Caguioa! You deserve every bit of that trophy!
