Our friends at Globe Telecom have just confirmed to TechPinas that the company's New iPad plan bundles will be available to the public starting May 29, 2012 -- that's Tuesday next week!
According to them, Globe will offer Apple's 2012 flagship tablet with a range of attractive nomadic broadband data plans allowing customers to connect to its nationwide network at speeds of up to 42Mbps -- which, as some of you may know, is at the very ceiling or threshold of an HSPA+ mobile connection.
The Curpertino company's third generation iPad is "a category defining mobile device" that features a stunning new Retina display, Apple's new A5X chip with quad-core graphics and a 5 megapixel iSight camera at the back with advanced optics for capturing amazing photos and 1080p Full HD videos. Also, the New iPad still delivers the same all-day 10 hour battery life of its best-selling predecessor, the iPad2, while remaining amazingly thin and light.
"We're very excited to launch the incredible new iPad in the Philippines. Customers using our network on their new iPad will experience great value Tattoo data plans and amazing speed for an unbeatable user experience," shared Peter Bithos, Globe Telecoms' Senior Adviser for Consumer Business.
Update as of May 24, 2012:
Globe calls the third generation iPad bundled with their Tattoo plans "New Tattoo iPad". It follows that #NewTattooiPad will be official Twitter hashtag for the said device.
Again, Apple fans and Tattoo subscribers can get the new iPad at all Globe retail stores nationwide starting Tuesday, May 29, 2012. For complete details on pricing and availability of the tablet, kindly visit Globe Tattoo's corporate website on Globe New iPad's official release date. So there. Let your friends know.
