Lenovo A7000 Philippines Price Php 7,390, Full Specs, In The Flesh Photos, Features

Last May 13, 2015, Lenovo officially announced its latest powerhouse midrange Android smartphone in the Philippines through an exclusive media event held at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street where the company treated bloggers and members of the media to a 4D screening of Marvel's The Avengers : Age of Ultron.

The activity may seem rather unusual for a smartphone launch but actually, it was meant to reflect one of the Lenovo A7000's key features or main selling points, which is its Dolby Atmos sound enhancement technology. In fact, this phone is the very first one in the world to have this cool feature. According to Lenovo, the patented Dolby Atmos 'makes sound flow above and around the user for a dramatically different listening experience. Users can simply plug in their headphones into the A7000 and enjoy being true surround sound.'

But more than being a great smartphone for listening to music tracks, the Lenovo A7000 is also ideal for gamers as well as avid mobile photographers as the phone has more than decent technical specifications and also a good pair of cameras.

Featuring a large 5.5 inch HD IPS display, A7000 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system (underneath the company's neat and easy-to-use Vibe user interface version 2.0) with its Octa Core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A53 and Mali-T760MP2 based MediaTek MT6752M chipset, handles multitasking with 2 GB of RAM, and has 8 GB of expandable storage. All these combine to make this release a great handset for those who always want play specs-intensive 3D games on the go.

The device comes with two cameras; An 8 MegaPixel autofocus shooter at the back with Dual LED flash and a 5 MegaPixel front cam for young (and young-at-heart) consumers who love to take selfies.

Sharing images snapped using these cameras and enjoying streaming music and video content should be a breeze on this smartphone as it supports 4G LTE Cat4 mobile connectivity.

As you can see in these photos, Lenovo A7000 features a simple design identity that's similar to what we've seen on previous mid-level releases by the company. Its shell is made primarily of plastic -- but thankfully, its power button and volume rocker are crafted from real metal, making them both durable and lustrous enough to be considered as design accents.

So when will it be up for purchase in the Philippines? Starting at 12 noon on May 21, 2015, Lazada Philippines will holding a flash sale for the the Lenovo A7000. The handset will be priced at only Php 7,390 and for that amount, buyers will already get a free back cover (valued at Php 699) and a free screen protector (valued at Php 299). As of writing, the company has yet to disclose when exactly this model will be out at their own concept stores and via their other retail partners. Stay tuned for updates, TP Friends.
