Globe Prepaid Load Validity Extended to One Year For All Denominations

Earlier today - June 5, 2018, I received an email from Globe Communications PR Team stating that all Globe Prepaid load, including denominations below 300 pesos will now officially carry a one year expiration period, which is definitely great news for all of their subscribers.

This announcement reflects Globe's full compliance with the Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 05-12-2017 issued jointly by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), which effectively extends the validity of all prepaid load to an entire year.

If you remember, back in January 6, 2018, Globe Telecom and Smart Communications started implementing the one year prepaid load expiration period -- but only for denominations worth PHP 300 pesos and above. Effective today - July 5, 2018, all denominations of Globe Prepaid load - no matter how small - will get the same extended validity period.

I know. It took Globe half a year to fully comply with the said Memorandum Circular -- but the good thing is that they've finally committed to implementing it. As the old adage goes, better late than never.

To quote Globe Telecom, "We are grateful to the NTC, DICT, and DTI for giving us ample time to prepare for the smooth and seamless implementation of the extension of the expiration period across all denominations."
