Get 2GB Additional Free Storage for Gmail, Google Photos and Docs Account

This is a limited time offer from Google so make sure you accomplish the requirement within the day to get this generous freebie.

In line with the celebration of Safer Internet Day this year, Google Inc. is giving away 2GB of free Google Drive storage - that you can use for your Gmail, Google Photos, and Google Docs accounts - to users who will perform a brief account security check-up.

Free Gmail Storage
Thanks to my fellow Pinoy tech blogger, Jam of JamOnline, for the heads up!

It's really easy. All you have to do is to log-in to your Google account and go to your security settings.

Google Security Checkup

Simply check if your Recovery Information, Connected Devices, Account Permissions, App Passwords, and 2-Step Verification settings (if activated) are indeed secure. The whole thing only takes around 2-minutes and if you won't find anything 'shady' in your settings, you'll just need to click a few buttons to wrap it up. Once you've completed the entire process, 2GB of additional permanent storage space will be automatically added to your Google Drive account. Sweet!

Safer Internet Day is organized by European cooperation network Insafe in February of each year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology, digital innovations, and mobile devices, especially among children and young adults across the world.
