The name might not be as familiar to many just yet, but Kaiyi Auto - now officially distributed in the country by Fortune Electricars Philippines Corporation (FEPC) - is set to become a serious contender in the electric and hybrid vehicle segment in the country.

The partnership, announced by Yibin Kaiyi International Trade Co., Ltd., positions FEPC as the exclusive distributor of Kaiyi vehicles across the Philippines. This is a strategic move that could diversify and disrupt the local automotive market by offering affordable and technologically advanced sedans, SUVs, and electric cars.

Founded in 2014 as a subsidiary of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., Kaiyi Auto operates out of Yibin in China’s Sichuan Province. With a production capacity of 150,000 units annually, the brand focuses on stylish design, smart features, and sustainability.

The brand's global strategy includes expansion in emerging markets like the Philippines. Kaiyi’s vehicles cater to a range of consumers by offering internal combustion engine (ICE), new energy vehicles (NEV), and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) options.
