2018 Nokia 8110 Banana Phone Price is 79 Euros or Php 5,050 Before Taxes

HMD Global - the new home of Nokia phones - continues to remind consumers of the wonders of the legendary Finnish Giant of old by officially launching a re-imagined version of the Nokia 8110 Banana Phone at Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Spain.

The original Nokia 8110 became a big hit in the '90s not just because of its unique and at the same time practical 'slider' form factor but because it was featured in the blockbuster movie, The Matrix, as the main phone of Neo - the character portrayed by Keannu Reeves.

This new version updates the look of the legacy release through a more sleek and slim design that no longer has a protruding antenna and that comes replete with a more streamlined alpha-numeric keyboard hidden by a neat sliding mechanism.

On top of that, this cool update sports a 2.4-inch QVGA colored display, 2 MegaPixel rear camera, a fresh rendition of the Snake Game - just like what's on the re-imagined Nokia 3310 from 2017, and a battery pack that delivers a whopping 25 days of standby time.

Inside the curved shell - reminiscent of a banana, this phone is powered by a Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform processor, has 512MB of RAM, and comes with 4GB of expandable storage

Available in two colors, namely, Traditional Black and Banana Yellow, the 2018 Nokia 8110 will don an official suggested retail price of 79 Euros or around Php 5,050 (with current conversion and before taxes) when its formally released in key markets of HMD Global come May 2018.
