Realme Buds 2 Price in the Philippines, Specs, Unboxing Photos, Quick Impressions

Last Friday - December 6, 2019, our friends from Realme Philippines did a Facebook Live video to formally announce the imminent release of their new mobile accessories, which include the Realme Buds 2 wired earphones.

If you watched their video and you got curious about that specific model, allow me to share with you my unboxing photos of the Realme Buds 2 and to give you my thoughts about this cool new product.

Realme Buds 2 Earphones

A good companion for affordable-yet-feature-packed Realme Android smartphones, Realme Buds 2 ships in this very simple white box with its image printed on top and the company name written on the sides. I love this no-nonsense, very straight-forward look.

At the back, you will see a list of these earphones' main features, namely, the 11.2mm Bass Boost Driver, the Built-in Magnets, Dual Anti-Twining Cable, and the Cable Organizer.

To get to the product inside, simply cut the transparent sticker at the bottom and open the paper flap.

Then, just pull on the tab to completely remove the outer sleeve.

Realme Buds 2 sits nicely in its paper cradle, which was designed to protect it from damage during shipment and also to showcase the product well upon unboxing.

The complete retail package includes the pair of earphones, two extra pairs of silicone buds in Small and Large sizes as the Medium-sized buds are already pre-installed, and finally, the User Guide *slash* Warranty Card.

For meticulous audiophiles, here the the complete technical specifications of Realme Buds 2.

Model: Realme RMA155
Driver Size: 11.2 mm
Impedance: 32 Ohms
Rated Power: 3 mW
Speaker Sensitivity: 108 Decibels
Total Hardmonic Distortion: <3% (1kHz, 1mW)
Frequency Rate: 20 to 20,000 Hz

I like the fact that the User Guide is literally just a pamphlet that contains very concise information about the product, including notes on how to care for it or how to prevent it from being damaged. I suggest that you read it when you get a pair for yourself.

The colorway of Realme Buds 2 and all of its peripherals follows the classic hues of the Realme brand.

As you can see, the inner tube of the silicone buds is colored Yellow (or more like Mango Yellow) while the other tube is in Deep Gray or like Anthracite.

The silicone cable organizer, which is not removable (unless you slice it), also has a yellow color that frankly makes it look like a name tag for the product. I think this is one of the identifying physical features of the Realme Buds 2.

For those who are seeing for the first time, here's how to use the cable organizer:

1. Loop the long earphone cords around your three fingers.
2. Bind the cords together using the organizer.
3. Pull the cable tightly and secure it in place using the protruding pin and one of the holes.e

The main cord has a fabric lining that helps prevent it from twining. I think it also makes the product look and feel more luxurious - if a bit.

The controller has clickable volume up and down buttons as well as a middle button for playing and  pausing tracks or for answering calls. This controller also features a microphone which you can use for recording your voice or for making voice calls.

The back case of each bud flaunts Realme's instantly recognizable R Logo, which I'm sure will delight fans of this smartphone brand.

The bud cases also have built-in magnets that attract each other, allowing the user to wear these earphones as a necklace and making it less likely for the cords to tangle when the user puts his or her Realme Buds 2 inside a bag or pouch.

Also, as shown in the image above, the buds have yellow bushing that matches the color of the inner tube of the silicone buds and the cable organizer. Very Realme, right?

I've already used my Realme Buds 2 on my Realme 5 Pro to listen to some of my favorite music tracks on Youtube and Spotify.

Since I was able to get clear and crisp vocals, brilliant trebles, decent bass, and good noise cancellation from this pair, I'm inclined to give it my personal recommendation. Despite being wallet-friendly, Realme Buds 2 definitely delivers a better audio experience than what you'll get from generic earphones that are included in retail package of almost all smartphones in the market.

For those who are eyeing Realme Buds 2, this product will be officially launched in the Philippines through the upcoming Lazada 12.12 sale. It dons a price tag of just PHP 690, which should make it very enticing to budget-conscious consumers who want to get the maximum value for every peso they spend on a gadget or an accessory. I tell you: This is a very good paid. Thumbs up!
