DJI Pocket 2 Philippines Price and Release Date Guesstimate, Key Improvements from 1st-Gen DJI Osmo Pocket
As an owner of the first-generation DJI Osmo Pocket, I was absolutely
delighted when I received an email from our friends at DJI Global at
around 11:30 AM today confirming that the DJI Pocket 2 is now official.
Yes, DJI has dropped "OSMO" in the product's nomenclature and I personally
  don't mind.
Great for vloggers and Youtube content creators, the 2020 iteration to the
    best-selling pocket-sized hybrid camera with built-in three-axis gimbal
improves on the key features of its stellar predecessor all while having the
    same relatively affordable price tag.

DJI Osmo Pocket vs DJI Pocket 2 Technical Specifications
Design-wise, the new version looks almost identical to its two-year-old
sibling but the refresh is slightly taller, has a more robust build, and has a
red ring around its camera module that's reminiscent of what we see on premium
  Canon L-series lenses.
In terms of technical specifications, DJI Pocket 2 features a
larger 1/1.7” sensor that offers a notable enhancement in photo and
video quality, a wider 20mm f/1.8 lens albeit not by much, and
four microphones around its body, which together enable DJI Matrix
    Stereo System audio recording.
These are notable enhancements coming from the smaller 1/2.3-inch image
sensor, slightly tighter 24mm field of view, and two-microphone set-up of the
  1st Generation DJI Osmo Pocket.

  New Features
Additionally, DJI Pocket 2 now has a dedicated power button, 4X lossless
video zoom feature, 64 MegaPixel photo mode, HDR video mode, Hybrid 2.0
AutoFocus, FullHD 1080p 240fps recording for ultra slow-mo, ActiveTrack 3.0,
and Livestreaming Support for Facebook and Youtube.
All of which are key improvements implemented on the new model coming
from the already very capable 1st-Gen Osmo Pocket.
Like the 2018 release, the new Pocket can record 4K videos at 24, 30, and
60fps at 100Mbps for ultra-crisp details that's great even for professional
  content creation.
According to Mr. Roger Luo - DJI President, there was nothing like
the first generation DJI Osmo Pocket when they first released it in November
of 2018. As such, the device immediately changed the way consumers capture
life’s moments. The new DJI Pocket 2 takes it even further. DJI listened to
their customers’ feedback and adapted same look of the first release while
enhancing the overall camera system. Likewise, the Pocket 2 offers an
improved audio experience and wider expandability through accessories.
He added that whether you just enjoy capturing everyday stories or you're a
vlogger who requires more creative tools, DJI Pocket 2's intelligent features
and different video templates let anyone to come up with cinematic and
engaging content. The Pocket 2 is crafted to let you capture videos like a
pro, bringing your visual storytelling skills to a higher new level.

  Accessories
Made for those who want to create and share stories through videos, DJI
Pocket 2 comes with a variety of accessories that enable better content
creation, including a Wide-Angle Lens made by DJI itself, a tube-like
charging case, waterproof housing for diving and underwater shots, wireless
microphone set for enhanced audio quality, a redesigned control wheel,
extension rod, as well as smartphone support set-up.
The modular design of the DJI Pocket 2 allows you to remove the rear part of
the handle and attach accessories that make the device a more versatile and
powerful content creation tool for telling stories. These accessories include
a base to attach the Micro Tripod and Do-It-All Handle, the Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth wireless connectivity module, an additional speaker, a 3.5mm audio
jack, and the wireless microphone receiver.
  Price and Availability
Starting today - October 21, 2020, the DJI Pocket 2 becomes available in key
markets including the United States in Europe through the company's official
  consumer website.

The official price of DJI Pocket 2 is $349 USD and the package
already includes the Mini Control Stick and Tripod mount (1/4”). There's
also a $499 USD DJI Pocket 2 Creator Combo that comes with Mini
Control Stick, the Tripod Mount (1/4”), DJI Wide-Angle Lens, DJI Wireless
Microphone + Windscreen, Do-It-All Handle, and Micro Tripod.

As for the price and release in the Philippines, I can only give my
guesstimates. I expect the SRP for the standard package to be at around
PHP 23,000 to PHP 25,000 upon launch and the Creator Combo to come in
at around PHP 30,000 to PHP 32,000. So far, I have yet to receive a note from
DJI's official retailers in our country but I think they'll release this model
within November to December 2020 -- hopefully, sooner.
