REALMEOW, Revealed as The Official realme Brand Character

On Tuesday - December 15, 2020, the Philippines #1 smartphone brand realme officially announced its first ever brand character in the form of a yellow creature named "REALMEOW"!

REALMEOW has also been designated as the company's new Chief Trending Officer, who's destined to lead trends in technology, visuals, and geek pop culture.

Embodying the trend-setting attitude and diverse personalities of Gen-Z, REALMEOW has a high-tech and trendsetting look that represents realme’s "Dare to Leap" mantra.

According to realme, REALMEOW is inspired by cats, which are naturally fearless, agile, independent, and ready for breakthroughs

REALMEOW was co-designed by Mark Walsh who is the renowned animator of Pixar’s Finding Nemo and character developer of Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.

Mark believes that designing characters must start with passion. "Defining the passion and the obstacles a character must overcome to achieve it is what makes a great personality of an identifiable character," he shared. Hence, along with realme Design Studio as creative consultant, Mark created REALMEOW as a creature that has independence and fearlessness at its core.

During the design process, Walsh and realme believed that REALMEOW must showcase the culture favored by the young. This pushed the team to get inspiration from street-culture, painting, and sculpture for REALMEOW.

Although the character looks like a cat, REALMEOW is actually designed to be a mysterious creature from Trendsetting Planet. It has a mainly yellow body and it wears a pair of black laser glasses as an accessory that can transform into any object in the blink of an eye, adding flare to the character's sharp attitude.

Perpetually 18-years-old, REALMEOW is an extra-terrestrial that's always at the prime of its youth, teeming with vigor, passion, and life. Just like its fellow Gen Zs, REALMEOW also loves fried chicken and pizza, enjoys jamming to rap songs, and excels at skating and hip-hop dance.

The new trendsetting buddy of all realme fans, REALMEOW shows the world that today's young generation is ready to "Dare to Leap". As a brand, realme also champions youth empowerment to urge the young demographic all over the world to go beyond themselves and seize more possibilities.

In line with the unveiling of REALMEOW, realme Global launched a limited edition REALMEOW gift package to celebrate the new year with young people across the globe. This merchandise will soon be available here in the Philippines where realme is beloved.

In the near future, realme will likewise launch customized smartphones and AIoT products featuring REALMEOW to underscore the youth's desire for a fearless, connected and trendsetting smart lifestyle.
