O+ Plus 8.38z Android Smartphone Giveaway : O+ USA's Android Lollipop Smartphone For Everyone!

To jumpstart 2016, O+ USA has just released a number of very affordable smartphones running Android Lollipop operating system. These budget-friendly models allow you to experience the benefits of one of the more updated versions of Google's operating system without having to spend too much moolah!

One of the cool O+ phone models that I saw when I visited the company's new concept store in SM CyberZone Mall of Asia is this, the O+ 8.38z. This is basically a quad core Android Lollipop release that feature some of O+ USA's useful software innovations.

Let's do a design check first. As you can see, the device has a rounded look reminiscent of some Samsung Galaxy models that were launched in 2015. The back has a metallic gleam, giving the handset a subtle air of elegance.

One thing I love O+ smartphones it that they are well-crafted and they really feel solid when you hold them. "We take pride in the build quality of our devices," our friends from the company would always tell me in our meetings.

This rings true for this model as well; When you have it in your hand, you just know that its polycarbonate shell will be able to take the knocks and bumps of daily use.

Now, as for the specs, O+ 8.38z sports a fairly sizable 4.5-inch FWVGA TN panel, a 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash at the back, HD video recorder, and a VGA front cam.

At its heart, it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with its 1.3 GHz Quad Core chipset from Spreadtrum, has 1 GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of storage space right out of the box. O+ 8.38z's user interface features some of O+'s software innovations including Air Shuffle that lets you take photos and browse images just by waving your hand in front of the phone's proximity sensor, Encrypted Messages which allows you to create a password protected SMS folder, and Anti-Theft that can alert you if your phone gets stolen and someone tries to put another SIM card in it. There's also Doodle Control letting you draw characters on the phone's screen while it's turned off to automatically launch applications without having to unlock the display.

O+ 8.38z is priced at only Php 3,395, making it one of the most affordable Android Lollipop smartphones that's currently out in the market. It's available in a number of colors, including Black, Blue, and Grey.
