A true flagship release, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc features top-of-the-line technical specifications. The handset runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with its 1 GHz Scorpion processor and flaunts a massive 4.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 8 MegaPixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, HD 720p video capture capability and microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB. Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc features Sony's award-winning Exmor R mobile sensor with f/2.4 lens, which enables users to capture high quality pictures and HD videos even in low light conditions. All pictures and videos captured using the handset can then be shared in HD on a Sony Bravia TV via the built-in HDMI port.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc dons a price tag of £459.99 in the UK. We've yet to receive official pricing details of the phone in the Philippines but off hand, I'm expecting this flagship release to get an SRP in the range of PhP 30,000 - PhP 40,000. Please stay tuned for updates on this handset's availability in the Philippines.

UPDATE: The official suggested retail price of Sony Ericsson Arc in the Philippines is Php 29,990 -- a lot less than that was earlier predicted. No word yet on official launch date.

  4. If it will follow the £459.99 tag price then expect it to hit P45K in the Philippines.

Really, Sony? Why do you always release phones at sky high price then after a month or two, you can buy the same phone from gray markets at half to 2/3 of the original price? Kaya naman nakakahinayang mag invest sa SE phones e. Tsk tsk.

Bring the arc down to 30k and I will be first in line. kthxbye.

  5. The device is great but I'm not willing to pay for that pricey gadget and its overhyped features.
If I want an excellent camera phone then I will go for N8.
If I want an Android then I will go for Galaxy S 2.
If I want a slim phone then I will go for iPhone 4.

Sayang, ganda pa naman ng Arc. :D

  13. I got my nokia n8 .. camera is good yes ! but symbian sucks so i ended up selling it.. this phone is worth the price. comparing the tech specs of this phone to nokia n8 its greater. Regarding the camera. 12 megapixel of nokia n8 is actually the same with sony ericsson's 8.1 MGP .. camera of sony ericsson phone are a lot better than nokia phones :)
