Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom Has Dual-Optics Rear Camera, Big Battery

So far, I'm loving many of the information that I've been hearing and reading about the recently leaked Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom.

The follow-up the gorgeous imaging powerhouse Asus ZenFone Zoom, this new model - which is expected to arrive in many key markets early next year (hopefully, including the Philippines) - purportedly has handful of astonishing main selling points.

Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom

Flaunting a curved glass face and a real metal enclosure just like the Asus ZenFone 3 Max, the sleek ZF3Zoom - according to 'insiders' - sports a Dual-Optics main camera set-up, making it the best cameraphone from the Taiwanese company upon launch.

If you remember, the first generation Zoom model had a luxurious back plate with leather lining, aluminum mid-frame, as well as a powerful camera that supports three times optical zoom.

We've yet to hear word on what exactly the Dual-Optics module can do but if we go by the name of the handset, I would imagine that it should function more or less the same as that of the Apple iPhone 7 Plus or LG V20. Though, that remains to be seen.

As for the other technical specifications, it is said that Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom will have a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 13 MegaPixel selfie cam in front, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor - just like what on Asus ZenFone 3 ZE550KL, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS right out of the box.

One of my favorite rumored specs enhancements coming from the previous model is the far larger 4,850 mAh battery on the ZF3Zoom. This larger pack should greatly boost the new model's uptime, which is one of the main points for improvement of its predecessor.

Now, as for the pricing, we don't have any idea yet. Although, insiders say that Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom would come in three variants with varying RAM and ROM sizes, namely 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB versions.
