Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, Officially Released in the Philippines!

Today - March 20, 2019, at the Director’s Club of SM Megamall in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City, Chinese tech giant Xiaomi officially announced the new Redmi Note 7 midrange Android smartphones that quite simply continues the brand's tradition of allowing mid-level consumers to enjoy the benefits of a large display and excellent battery life on a new handset that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

According to Mr. Steven Shi, Head of Southeast Asia, Xiaomi Global, "We are marking our second year in the Philippines inspired by our Mi Fans' strong love of Xiaomi, which propelled us to become the best-selling brand in the biggest online sales events last year. As we update our multi-brand strategy in January with Redmi becoming an independent smartphone brand, we are strengthening our commitment in the Philippines by launching the latest device under the superior quality yet extremely cost effective Redmi brand, the Redmi Note 7. This comes with an 18-month warranty, making sure that Filipino Mi fans will be able to get the best out of the device."

One of the highlights of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is its all-new Design Identity. This model sports a refreshed premium style featuring front and back Corning Gorilla Glass panels that add a stunning sheen to the already eye-catching gradient finish.

The sleek back perfectly complements the stunning 6.3-inch FullHD+ LTPS display in front that comes with accurate colors at 84% NTSC color gamut, which easily offers one of the finest visual experiences in this phone's class.

The screen has a relatively small notch on top, which houses the device's 13 MegaPixel f/2.0 selfie camera that's powered by Xiaomi's own beautification software; A treat for consumers who love snapping self-portraits and instantly sharing the images online.

At the back, Redmi Note 7 flaunts a Dual Rear Camera module, made up of a 48 MegaPixel primary shooter with Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 backside illuminated CMOS sensor. Xiaomi says that when taking pictures, the sensor uses Samsung’s Tetracell technology which combines four pixels into just one large 1.6µm pixel. This innovation greatly improves the camera's light sensitivity and makes the resulting 12 MegaPixel shot much brighter and clearer, even in low-light situations.

On top of that, the Note 7's cameras are powered by the brand's latest AI features, including the night mode photography feature and automatic AI scene detection, which intelligently figures out what's in front of the lenses and adjusts colors, shadows, and highlights, among other imaging aspects to deliver more visually pleasing shots.

Mr. Peaker Gao, Country Manager of Xiaomi Philippines, welcomed bloggers and members of the media during the official local launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 at SM Megamall. He also gave a keynote presentation on the main features and key selling points of the Redmi Note 7.

Inside its attractive shell, the Redmi Note 7 runs its MIUI 10 skinned Android 9.0 Pie operating system with a powerful and energy efficient Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor that delivers good gaming performance with its integrated Adreno 512 GPU.

This chipset along with the handset's large 4,000 mAh Li-Po battery pack truly ensure an extended uptime even for the most demanding power user, avid gamer, or mobile photographer.
