realme X3 SuperZoom Philippines Price is PHP 24,990 : A True Flagship Smartphone with Super Features

On Thursday - July 9, 2020, hotshot international tech brand realme officially launched its first-ever flagship Android smartphone in the Philippines, the much-anticipated realme X3 SuperZoom that comes replete with more than a handful of Super Features.

Over the past two years, the Chinese mobile device maker has had tremendous success in the entry-level to midrange price brackets -- and with this model, they are hoping that can likewise attract high-end consumers in our country in the days ahead.

Due to the challenges brought about the ongoing community quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, realme Philippines squad opted for an online-only livestream launch for the realme X3 SuperZoom.

Creatively maneuvering through the limitations set by the GCQ, the team introduced the key features and main selling points of their flagship smartphone through a thrilling inter-stellar-adventure-themed video which delighted realme fans across the Philippines.

The act featured realme Philippines' Vice President for Marketing Austine Huang, Marketing Lead Eason de Guzman, Community Manager Anthony So, Pinoy athlete Japoy Lazardo, and online game streamers AkosiDogie, Chixxmiss and Suzzysaur.

The video started with the mysterious abduction of Austine by AkoSiDoggie and Chixxmiss, who were initially presented as forces of darkness. Realizing that their friend needs their help, the realme Squad with the help of Japoy and Suzzysaur mounted an inter-galantic rescue mission to save Austine using clues she left through her realme X3 SuperZoom smartphone. When they finally found her being as a captive and set her free, all of them were shocked when they heard AkoSiDoggie's reason for the abduction. I suggest you watch the video to find out all while being entertained.

Going back to the smartphone, realme X3 SuperZoom is a true flagship smartphone that's capable of taking on 2019 to 2020 high-end handsets that cost upwards of PHP 40,000 -- thanks to its stellar set of features.

One of these is realme X3 SuperZoom's large 6.6-inch FullHD+ IPS display with 120Hz ultra-smooth refresh rate capability that totally enhances the user's viewing experience and virtual interactions through buttery smooth transitions and effects. Protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5, this screen also features Punch Hole Light Effect, Blue Light Protection, Customizable Color Mode, plus Object and Semantic Images Eye-tracking (OSIE) Artificial Intelligence.

Design-wise, the X3 SuperZoom features a more subdued color palette compared to its siblings in the mid-level bracket. For me, this gives this model an air of corporate sophistication and understated elegance.

Available in Glacier Blue and Arctic White - which I have here, realme X3 SuperZoom features rounded sides and corners, sleek edging with metallic sheen, and a scratch-and-grime-resistant matte back panel with a gleaming pearl finish. All these elements combine to make this smartphone a device you won't be shy to flaunt or put on the table whether you are in a business meeting or on a romantic date.

One of the strongest selling points of realme X3 SuperZoom is its powerful Quad Rear Camera Module that gives any mobile photographer maximum flexibility when snapping images day and night.

Actually, realme X3 SuperZoom is currently the only flagship smartphone that has a 64 MegaPixel main camera that's supported by an 8 MegaPixel periscope-style telephoto shooter; Working together, these two shooters enable 5x Optical Zoom and a whopping 60x Digital Zoom when taking stills, so you can still photograph objects even if they are a mile away.

Users who are into landscape or architectural photography will also appreciate this handset's 8 MegaPixel ultra-wide-angle camera that's great for capturing scale. On the other hand, those who love taking photos of insects or flowers up-close will surely enjoy utilizing the 2 MegaPixel Macro shooter.

According to our friends from realmePH, main imaging feature that sets the realme X3 SuperZoom apart from its competitors is the Starry Mode, which a unique camera capability first seen in the market on a realme smartphone. This feature makes use of an innovative AI algorithm combined with ultra-long exposure and multi-frame synthesis that lets users capture celestial bodies in the night sky.

Additionally, this stellar cameraphone also comes with Super Nightscape 4.0, which lets you take photos even in 1-Lux or Ultra-Low-Light conditions as it automatically switches between the Super and Ultra Nightscape Modes to deliver clear images even when there's very little ambient light available. To further boost the main camera's excellent night shot features, the device also has a Tripod Mode - under Night Mode - that supports super long exposure.

For those who love taking selfies and groufies with loved ones, you will surely fall in love with realme X3 SuperZoom's powerful in-display dual-camera module. This set-up is comprised of a high-resolution 32 MegaPixel Sony IMX616 80° wide-angle that delivers the crispest selfies and an 8 MegaPixel 105° super-wide-angle lens that lets you include more of your background or more friends in your self-portraits.

If you prefer using your phone's front-facing camera for recording vlogs, the 32MP main front-cam can also take FullHD videos with automatic HDR for more visually pleasing clips while the 8MP ultra-wide secondary cam has an Ultra-Steady electronic image stabilization mode that minimizes nauseating shakes while walking.

Now, for the video-shooting capabilities of the Quad Rear Camera module, the main camera can shoot 4K videos up to 60fps but if you turn on HDR or Ultra Steady Mode, you can only shoot up to FullHD 60fps. There's also an Ultra-Steady-Max Mode that utilizes both the main and ultra-wide cameras to delivers maximum stabilization when travel vlogging; However, you can only get 1080p 30fps using that setting.

Currently, realme smartphones don't support the use of an external microphone via the 3.5mm combo jack when recording videos through their native camera application. I wish that they could enable this through a firmware upgrade since it can be done through downloadable third-party camera apps for Android like Open Camera.

Aside from realme X3 SuperZoom's 120Hz Display, Stellar 64MP Quad Camera with Periscope Zoom and Starry Night Mode, and the Dual Front-Facing Selfie Shooters, this flagship smartphone's powerhouse set of internal hardware truly makes it one of the most powerful smartphone in its price category currently, giving realme fans who will buy it maximum value for their money.

As I've previously shared on TechPinas, realme X3 SuperZoom runs its realme UI customized Android 10 operating system with the beastly 7nm 2.96 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ flagship-level processor, which is currently only behind Snapdragon 865 and Exynos 997 when it comes to power and performance.

Complemented by an incredible 12GB of RAM for buttery smooth multitasking experience, 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage, and Adreno 640 GPU for stutter-free mobile gaming, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset gave my realme X3 SuperZoom an AnTutu Benchmark Score of 483,759 when I ran the test on it yesterday. I heard some have gotten scores above 500,000 but so far, I have yet to get that.

realme X3 SuperZoom, realme X3 SuperZoom ROM UFS 3.0 Benchmark Score

Although the phone's storage is not expandable, the ROM is UFS 3.0 which offers significantly faster read and write speeds while maintaining the same low-power-consumption compared to older generation storage types for mobile devices. When I ran Disk Speed Test on my unit, I got 1.1GB/second read speed and 539MB/second write speed, which I found very impressive.

realme X3 SuperZoom is powered by a non-removable 4,200 mAh Li-Po battery that ensures at least a whole day of uptime. I kind of wish that it's bigger but I'm not really complaining since the energy-efficiency of the processor somehow helps extend the phone's uptime.

Also, this flagship release comes with 30W Fast Charging which lets the user charge the device from 0% to 100% in just 55 minutes with the provided cable and charger. This means shorter time plugging the handset to an electrical outlet and longer time using it to shoot the stars and celebrate our passions.

For users who are big on privacy and security, realme X3 SuperZooms sports a fast and accurate side-mounted fingerprint scanner that's integrated with the power button for added convenience. On top of the usual pattern or passcode unlock, this handset also supports Facial Recognition through the main front-facing camera.

realme X3 SuperZoom Philippines

As the first flagship smartphone of realme in the Philippines, realme X3 SuperZoom is a very strong release with super features across the board that most Pinoy consumers will find very attractive. If you ask me, though, the best thing about this high-end model is its PHP 24,990 price tag which is a real treat given everything that the realme X3 SuperZoom offers. For a flagship Android smartphone, that SRP is already ultra-accessible. Needless to say, I highly recommend this handset to anyone who's planning to upgrade from his or her midrange smartphone to legitimate top-of-the-line model without overspending. Check it out!

PS: If you're planning to buy realme X3 SuperZoom, I suggest that you pre-order your unit through any participating realme outlet near you from July 9 to 17, 2020. realme fans who successfully pre-order a unit will get a free pair of realme Buds Air Black worth PHP 3,990!
