Two years ago, local electronics company CloudFone had its first monster best-seller in the form of CloudFone Thrill 430x, which made its online debut on TechPinas. Remember that release, TP Friends?
That handset was loved by many mainly because of its ginormous 4160 mAh Li-Ion battery pack that was capable of delivering up to a staggering 1000 hours of standby time, 40 hours of talk time on 3G, and up to 100 hours of music playback!
Since then, CloudFone has come to be known by Pinoy gadget fans as the local handset brand that specializes in delivering the longest smartphone uptime, which is a very valuable consumer insight.
This year, to reinforce this brand reputation, Cloudfone is releasing - in retail outlets - the very affordable CloudFone Excite 400dx, which brings that long-lasting battery power within everyone’s reach. This handset was previously only available as a bundled phone with Globe Postpaid Plans.

Yes, you read that right! Just like its older quad core sibling - the CloudFone Thrill 400qx, Excite 400dx ships with two battery packs!

If you want a thin smartphone that fits nicely in the pocket and you're not really a power user, use the 1,400 mAh battery pack.

Obviously, the bigger battery pack will make the phone thicker and heavier. There's that compromise -- and it's all up to you to choose which one you should make.
You all know how paranoid I am when it comes to my gadgets' uptime. Heck, I even go out of my way to purchase extended battery packs in Hong Kong and extra large powerbanks from my favorite online gadget store, Kimstore. Needless to say, I'd prefer to use the 3,000 mAh pack on the CloudFone Excite 400dx. Yes, it's going to be thicker but I won't mind.
