Unbeknownst to many, ultra-famous Samsung Punch actually has a single-SIM Wifi-capable sibling. And that phone is now also available in the Philippines!
Meet Samsung Ch@t 335 also known as Samsung Punch WIFI in some territories;
Samsung Punch WIFI flaunts a 2.4-inch screen with 320 x 240 pixels resolution, a full QWERTY keypad, an optical trackpad for navigation, a microSD card slot and a 2 MegaPixel camera without flash that also records videos. Some of the ports include a 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB 2.0.
With its QWERTY keyboard and wifi connectivity support, Samsung Punch Wifi makes texting and emailing easy. This messaging phone gives you quick access to what's important, including emails, Facebook chat conversations, text messages, instant messenger contacts and photos.
Want fast access to favourite Punch Wifi features? You can program shortcuts into the QWERTY keyboard, for example 'A' for alarm clock, to get to your content in an instant.
Unlike most messaging phones, Punch Wifi features multi-key support, allowing users to press multiple keys at once to quickly type a text message, IM and email on the go. There's also an optical trackpad below the screen that works like a computer mouse, making it very easy to scroll through menus, photos and messages.
With push email and social network access on your phone, you can stay in touch with your important or favourite contacts. Samsung Punch Wifi supports Facebook, Twitter, all the most popular email accounts including Gmail, as well as instant messenger clients like Yahoo! and GTalk. You can also use the phone's free Bluetooth messaging feature to send messages to other Bluetooth-capable phones.
Punch Wifi will likewise keep you entertained as it features a built-in FM radio and an MP3 player, with Sound Alive technology, which enhances the listening experience. You can also add a microSD card (up to 8GB) and store your fave music files, photos and video clips on your phone. You may choose to listen to music via the phone's built in speaker or connect your favourite headphones to the 3.5mm audio jack. If you wish so, you can even hook up a wireless Bluetooth headset for wireless playback.
This handset flaunts a very slim form factor and fluid design with metallic accents.
Like what I said, this phone is now out in the country. I've seen some online stores in the Philippines sell this phone for as low as Php 5,500. I haven't had the chance to play with an actual unit but just from looking at the photos, the specs sheet and the phone's price tag, I think it's a good buy.
