The Cherry Mobile Flare S7 Deluxe is part of the company's newest line of Flare Android smartphone and as you can see in these photos, its best feature could very well be its design identity.

Although it's really quite far-fetched, the reason why I think this model looks like the iPhone X or XS is that it has several physical characteristics that are reminiscent of Apple's current flagship handsets.

For one, Flare S7 Deluxe also has a wide notch - on top of its tall 5.85-inch HD+ IPS display - that's clearly inspired by the iPhone. The difference, though, is that this one houses two front-facing cameras: 13 MegaPixel primary shooter plus a 2MP depth sensor, which enables background blur effect when snapping selfies, versus just one on the iPhone.

Second, Cherry Mobile Flare S7 Deluxe also has a Dual Rear camera set-up like the iPhone XS and the module even has a similar oblong frame and vertical orientation. I mean, it's not exactly the same -- but the inspiration behind the look is clear.

Then, of course, there's the glossy finish. Unlike what's on the iPhone, this back plate is not made of glass; It's crafted from polycarbonate -- but from a far, it exudes a familiar sheen.

Anyway, this model's subtle similarities with the iPhone just about end there.

Priced at just PHP 5,999, entry-level Cherry Mobile Flare S7 Deluxe has modest specs, imaging capabilities, and internal hardware.

Under the hood, this model runs its near-vanilla Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with a Quad Core MediaTek MT6739WA processor, has just 3GB of RAM for multitasking, and comes with 16GB of expandable storage.

While these innards aren't particularly beastly, they combine to allow this smartphone to deliver a decent day-to-day experience when browsing and updating social media apps, watching movies, reading blogs, snapping photos, listening to music, or playing light 3D games.

The Dual Rear Camera set-up consists of a 13 MegaPixel primary shooter with BSI sensor from OmniVision plus a 2MP depth sensor. This combo lets you take portraits and product shots with bokeh effect wherein the background of the subject is slightly blurred to make the image more interesting to look at.
