Huawei P30 Pro Artist Render Shows Four Rear Cameras and Waterdrop Notch

As 2018 draws to a close, I think it's already safe to say that this year has been a special one for the handset business of Chinese tech giant Huawei in many countries across the world.

Here in the Philippines, Huawei Nova 3i remains to be a big hit in the midrange category while Huawei Mate 20 Pro is now selling well in the flagship-level.

But if there's one 2018 Huawei smartphone model that captured the fancy of so many Pinoys - especially mobile imaging enthusiasts - it would have to be the Huawei P20 Pro with its Triple Rear Camera module, large primary sensor, and 5X lossless zoom capability.

Understandably so, many Huawei fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the stellar follow-up to the P20 Pro. In fact, some of them have even started uploading their artistic renditions of what they're now calling 'Huawei P30 Pro' on social media sites.

The creative render below was created by 'gadget designer' Benjamin Geskin based on all the rumors and insider information that we've been hearing so far about Huawei's 2019 top-of-the-line cameraphone.

As you can see in these images, Benjamin's Huawei P30 Pro composition shows a handset with similar form factor to the Huawei Nova 3 with curvier sides and corners compared to the Huawei P20 Pro. It also has a similar Aurora Blue finish featuring a purple to blue gradient, which we have seen as well on the Huawei Nova 3i.

Aside from the phone's hues, these images also capture two rumored features of the P30 Pro.

First, we have the Quad Camera Set-up at the back, which I think will be more or less similar to what we are currently seeing on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Some are saying that the primary shooter will be powered by the all-new 38-Megapixel Sony IMX607 sensor, which is expected to deliver industry-leading low-light performance on a cameraphone.

Second, there's the all-screen face with a small waterdrop notch, which houses the device's front-facing camera for selfies and effectively increases the display space without making the footprint of the device larger.

Interestingly enough, I haven't heard rumors that this model will likewise have a punch hole type of notch, which we have already seen on Honor View 20 and Huawei Nova 4.

Well, what about the internal hardware, you ask? They say Huawei P30 Pro will run its EMUI skinned Android Pie operating system with a Kirin 980 processor - like what's inside Mate 20 Pro - and it will handle multitasking with - get this - up to 12GB of RAM!

A lot to look forward to, right? How likely are you to upgrade to or to purchase the Huawei P30 Pro when it lands in 2019? Aside from what we've been told so far, what other new features do you want this upcoming flagship to have?
