O+ 8.15 Price Php 12,995, Specifications, Release Date : Ultra-Slim 5-Inch HD, Quad Core Android Smartphone with Stellar Build!

TechPinas Exclusive!

American handset brand, O+, is already prepping to launch its newest Android flagship smartphone in the Philippines!

The upcoming O+ 8.15 - set to officially supersede the best-selling O+ 8.12 as the company's new top of the line release - comes with the best technical specifications on a handset that O+ has managed to churn out thus far. According to our insiders, O+ 8.15 will flaunt a massive 5-inch HD IPS display and will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and 1 GB of RAM. Other key features include an 8 MegaPixel main camera with LED flash and back-illuminated sensor, 2 MegaPixel front-facing camera, HD video recorder, 8 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card slot, and a rather large 2,000 mAh battery pack. As for connectivity, the smartphone supports WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G.

Frankly, O+ 8.15 will enter the market with a slightly higher price tag than that of other smartphones by local brands having similar specifications. But the price difference could very well be justified by the phone's very elegant design and top-notch construction made possible by premium materials. "It measures only 8.4 millimeters at its thickest point, which is already very, very slim for a 5-inch device," one of our close friends from O+ told TechPinas.

She followed up, "O+ 8.15 will hit store shelves with a Php 12,995 price tag either later this week or early next week. Yes, it will also come with Air Shuffle technology, which O+ owns a patent to. Off hand, we're not sure if the phone will have a scratch-resistant display but we'll know for sure in a few days."

Exciting! I own an O+ 8.9 and O+ 8.12 and both smartphones - I believe - are the best Android handsets in their price categories in terms of design and build. I'm sure O+ 8.15 will feel just as great in the hand and will be just as gorgeous. I'll definitely update this post with in-the-flesh photos and initial impressions as soon as an actual unit makes it to the TechPinas Hideout.
