LG Optimus G Philippines Official Price is Php 26,900, Out Now! Complete Technical Specifications and Features! Full Presentation Video!

LG Optimus G Pro had just been introduced at MWC and Samsung Galaxy S4 is but a few days away from hitting store shelves, but if you insist on getting LG Optimus G and nothing else, then you'll be glad to know that the handset is now available in the Philippines for a relatively low price.

Available in Black and White and measuring only 8.5 millimeters at its thickest point, flagship release LG Optimus G comes replete with a 4.7-inch True HD-IPS LCD, a 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera at the back with LED flash and back-illuminated sensor, a 1.3 MP shooter in front, a Quad Core Snapdragon Pro chipset running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of non-expandable internal storage, and a supposedly 'breakthrough' Li-Po 2100 mAh battery pack delivering up to almost 14 days of standby time.

As for the design, as you can see, the handset is gorgeous. It flaunts subtle yet effective metallic accents and just like Nexus 4, the glass panel at the back underwent LG's Crystal Reflective Process making it glisten when light hits it on certain angles.

LTE-capable LG Optimus G retails for Php 26,900 and is now out nationwide. I heard that the company is currently giving a Php 2,500 or Php 2,000 off introductory discount on the handset so you might want to ring a store first and inquire about that.

Apart from the innards and the shell, what I find particularly interesting about LG Optimus G are two unique features that come with LG's new UX interface. QSlide lets users do more on their handset by allowing them to operate multiple applications at the same time, as transparent screen layers or windows as opposed to just side-by-side frames. The position, size, and even the transparency of the QSlide layers can be adjusted according to the user's preference. Then, there's QuickMemo or QMemo, which lets you draw doodles and jot down notes using your finger right on top of whatever is on your phone's screen. This is particularly useful for adding comments or personal notes on photos and webpages, or for simply writing down numbers instead of memorizing them.

Here's a 28-minute video that I took during LG Optimus G's media launch at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City showing Faith Mijares, LG Electronics Philippines' Product Manager for Mobile Communications, giving a presentation on the key features and functionality of the smartphone including those two that I mentioned plus what's hot about the phone's display and what's cool about its camera.

Yes, I stood for almost 30 minutes just to get everything on video -- that's how much I care for you, TP Friends. After all, the only reason why I attend these tech events is because I want to bring them to you. Like what I always say, "Sa TechPinas, kayo po ang mahalaga. Kayo ang bida."

If it were just me, I'll just stay at home, blog, and spend time with my family and friends. But I know that I should go out and bring these events to you because that's my responsibility. Every time I go to tech events, I spend almost a thousand bucks on transportation alone. I hope no one tells me that I only go to events for freebies because I'd really tell them to stick their giveaways up their behinds. Well, anyway, that's just a personal - uhm - comment. You can skip that part.

So there. To wrap this up in true TechPinas fashion, I present the complete technical specifications of LG Optimus G, the Korean company's current flagship handset in the Philippines.
