Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe ZS570KL Philippines Price and Release Date Guesstimate : Actual Unit Photos, Complete Specs

Having played with the Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe at the Asus #Zenvolution Product Exhibit here in Taipei, Taiwan yesterday afternoon, I believe the company focused on three key areas in putting together this stunning new flagship device:

1. Obviously, in terms of design and construction.
2. As expected, when it comes to raw power and technical specifications.
3. And heeding public demand, in improving its imaging capabilities.

Design

Ditching the predominantly plastic build of its predecessor, the beautiful ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the world's very first metal unibody handset with no visible antenna lines, giving it a more streamlined look.

Even the power button and volume rocker are made of metal, which gives them an air of both opulence and durability.

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe sports a clear and brilliant 5.7 inch Full HD SuperAMOLED display panel that even comes with Asus Tru2Life Technology that makes details pop out more.

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the first device from the Taiwanese electronics company to have a SuperAMOLED display panel.

The screen is protected by scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 4 touchscreen and is framed by a 1.33 slim bezel with 70% screen-to-body ratio.

If there's anything I can confidently say about this handset, it is that it is downright gorgeous. And for a 5.7-inch device with a metal frame, it feels surprisingly light.

Improved Imaging Capabilities

One of the criticisms thrown at previous ZenFone models is that their cameras could be better. That's not to say, though, that their shooters were horrible (Frankly, for me, they are already decent.) -- but I guess when we think about all the good things that those releases have to offer, it becomes easy for us users to expect so much more from Asus in every aspect of crafting a smartphone.

Perhaps to address the requests of its loyal fans, Asus gave the ZenFone 3 Deluxe an amazing 23 MegaPixel camera with a powerhouse Sony IMX318 sensor, Tri-Tech Auto-Focus Technology - combining Laser, Phase Detection, and Continuous AF - that allows you to lock in on a subject in just 0.03 seconds even when its moving or when you're using the camera in a low light setting, 4-axis optical image stabilization compensating for hand movement while taking a shot or shooting videos, and Dual Tone LED flash for more natural-looking images.

Stellar Set of Internal Hardware

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe runs its ZenUI-3.0-flavored Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with a beastly Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 processor, has 6GB of RAM for industry-leading multitasking experience, and comes with 128GB of expandable internal storage. The combination of these innards make this release a legitimate 2016 flagship killer.

The smartphone's multitasking performance is further enhanced by Asus' OptiFlex technology that dedicates 2GB of RAM to frequently used applications, letting the user launch and switch to them faster even when there are already a handful of specs-intensive apps and games running in the background.

Other notable features of the Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe include its built-in fingerprint sensor that's positioned at its rear, sitting underneath the user's finger, ready for unlocking the phone in just a fraction of a second. There's also Quick Charge 3.0 technology that reduces battery recharge times as well as a reversible USB 3.0 Type-C port that makes data syncing and charging effortless.

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe excels at audio performance with its five-magnet speaker and NXP smart amplifier that provides clear and bright sound. When listening to music on this handset using Asus-certified headphones, you can enjoy Hi-Res Audio (HRA) that provides up four-times-better sound quality than your regular audio experience.

Price Guesstimate and Release Date

According to our friends from Asus, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe will see official launch in the company's key markets come mid-July to August 2016 with suggested retail price of $499. They didn't mention its exact release date in the Philippines but since the brand is known to prioritize our country when it comes to fresh ZenFone releases, I'm guessing that this flagship model should arrive in Pinas around that time as well. As for its local price, I personally believe that it should come in at around Php 24,000 to Php 25,000, which - to be completely fair - is not bad considering everything that the device has to offer.

Update:

Today - August 14, 2016, via #ZenvolutionPH event held at Sofitel Luxury Hotel in Manila, Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe was formally launched in our country. The handset dons an official suggested retail price of Php 34,995 -- putting our initial guesstimate off by Php 10,000.
