Asus ZenFone 3 Max Philippines Specs, Official Price, Unboxing Photos

Asus ZenFone 3 Max ZC520TL is now available at all concept stores of the Taiwanese company here in the Philippines as well as its official retailers across the country.

Popular among students and yuppies particularly for its affordable price tag, large battery, and sleek aluminum shell, this model supersedes the first generation Asus ZenFone Max, which was released in the country earlier this year.

For me, having extended uptime, decent imaging capabilities, and smooth touch response are three of the most important qualities of a mid-level daily smartphone. That's the reason why I like and recommend the Asus ZenFone 3 Max.

Let me show you everything you'll get for Php 8,995, which is the official suggested retail price of this handset.

The packaging is more or less similar to that of its predecessor as well as of other ZenFone models from last year, having a white outer sleeve and a pull-out inner box.

On the right panel, Asus listed down some of the highlights of the model, namely, its PixelMaster camera, Bluetooth 4.0, HD display, WiFi support, 4G LTE, and 2.5D Curved Glass face.

I have the Sand Gold version with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and MediaTek MT6737T processor. This is the official release for the Philippine market.

Apart from Sand Gold, ZF3Max is also available in Titanium Grey and Glacier Silver.

From some angles, the box reminds me of Apple's packaging for the iPhone.

Removing the outer case, we are greeted by the handset wrapped in a transparent plastic sleeve.

Lifting the phone's paper cradle, we see all the accessories included in the package.

We'll take a look at these one by one in a bit.

I like the placement of the SIM Card Tray ejector pin in the box. Cute.

This is the complete Asus ZenFone 3 Max retail package for the Philippines.

Of course, we have the microUSB to USB connector cable.

Standard earphones with in-ear silicone buds and microphone for making calls.

Extra Small and Large pairs of silicone bud

The travel charger has 2.0A output.

Asus offers 1 year parts and service warranty for all of its smartphones.

The days of those thick user manuals have come and gone -- and rightfully so. I mean, when was the last time you read one?

I'd advise you to unravel Asus ZenFone 3 Max's small user guide, though. This one gives all-essential information about the device.

The company generously included a free USB-OTG cable in the box! You'll need for connecting flash drives to the phone for transferring files and also for charging other devices as this big-battery model supports reverse charging!

I really like Asus' new ejector pin design. It looks like a smiley. Again: Cute.

And finally, we have the svelte Asus ZenFone 3 Max smartphone.

Check out that sexy back!

Metal-clas Asus ZenFone 3 Max is equipped with a 5.2-inch HD IPS display, a 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture and single-bulb LED flash, 5MP f/2.0 selfie cam in front, Full HD video recorder, a Fingerprint Scanner at the back for quickly unlocking the phone with but a touch of a finger, and a massive non-removable 4,130 mAh Li-Po battery pack that doesn't only provide more than two days of uptime with regular use but can also transfer charge to other smartphones and tablets!

Underneath its shell, this handset runs its ZenUI-skinned Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with a 64-Bit Quad Core MediaTek MT6737T chipset incorporating four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.44GHz and a Mali T720MP2 graphics card, has 3GB of RAM for smooth multitasking, and comes with 32GB of internal storage that can easily be augmented via the secondary hybrid nanoSIM slot.

Alright! That's it for now. More about this cool midrange Android smartphone on TechPinas soon! Stay tuned!
