Watch UAAP Games Online Livestream On Laptop, Smartphone, or Desktop

The latest season of the University Athletic Association Philippines (UAAP) has just started with much fan-fare about the rookie and superstar student athletes in various sporting events like basketball and volleyball, among many others.

If you are a student or an alumnus of any UAAP School, namely, Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), University of the Philippines Diliman (UP), University of Santo Tomas (UST), De La Salle University (DLSU), Far Eastern University (FEU), Adamson University (AdU), National University (NU), or University of the East (UE) - or if you're simply a fan of the games or of the players, I'd like to share an interesting bit of information about this year's coverage of the UAAP matches.

Update as of March 26, 2022: You can watch UAAP Basketball and Volleyball Games Live on your Android smartphone or Apple iPhone via Smart GigaPlay application, which you can download via Google Play Store or Apple App Store. You just need a Smart number to register and log in to the said mobile app.

If you prefer watching the games via laptop or desktop, you may visit web(dot)gigaplay(dot)smart on your web browser. Again, you just need a Smart number to register and log in to the website.

From 2018: Did you know that ABS-CBN Sports and Action is now officially broadcasting men's and women's basketball and volleyball games live on the internet? It's true. Simply visit https://sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap on your laptop or desktop, click the button on the embedded video player, and you're good to go.

I've also tried browsing that website through my Android smartphone's Firefox mobile browser and I saw that the video player can be accessed -- after I signed up for a free Kapamilya Account, which can be done simply by linking a Facebook account or via quick FB Log-in.

I understand that this is great news for those who don't have access to television but have a fast and reliable WiFi or mobile internet connection for watching long videos.

After the online livestream, ABS-CBN Sports usually uploads highlights of the UAAP Basketball and Volleyball games (and even baseball and football matches) on their official Youtube Channel, which can be accessed by going to https://www.youtube.com/user/abscbnsports. Usually, they also upload videos of the full games for those who missed the TV broadcast or the official internet live streaming.
