Taiwan Excellence Showcases Technology, AI, Culture and Creativity at Taiwan Expo 2026
The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at Taiwan Expo 2026 brought award-winning Taiwanese technology, Filipino creativity, interactive experiences, and cultural touches together under the theme “Empowering a Smarter Future.”
- Smarter Future: Taiwan Excellence brought award-winning Taiwanese technologies closer to Filipino audiences at Taiwan Expo 2026, showcasing innovations across computing, digital infrastructure, healthcare, mobility, consumer electronics, and smart living under the theme “Empowering a Smarter Future.”
- Interactive Discovery: Beyond traditional product displays, the three-day Pavilion invited visitors to experience technology through hands-on demonstrations, expert talks, workshops, games, celebrity tours, collectibles, and activities designed to show how innovation can become useful in everyday life.
- Cultural Connection: From the Fu Bear x Quiccs creative collaboration and a wooden jeepney collectible to Happy Hour boba tea, Taiwan Excellence blended technology with Taiwanese and Filipino culture to create an experience that went beyond specifications and product demonstrations.
There is something different about discovering technology when you can actually see, touch, and experience how it fits into everyday life. At Taiwan Expo 2026, Taiwan Excellence turned that idea into an immersive three-day showcase where Taiwan Excellence Pavilion visitors encountered smart technologies alongside culture, creativity, games, and even a refreshing cup of boba tea.
Held under the theme “Empowering a Smarter Future,” the Pavilion brought together Taiwan Excellence-awarded companies representing computing, digital infrastructure, healthcare, mobility, consumer electronics, and smart living. Rather than simply placing products on display, the showcase encouraged Filipino visitors to explore how these technologies could contribute to a more connected, convenient, and efficient lifestyle.
The Pavilion opened with a special performance set to “Everyday Excellence,” a song created for Taiwan Excellence. Combining modern movement with cultural elements, the performance welcomed VIP guests and visitors while establishing the Pavilion as an experience extending beyond technology itself.
Award-Winning Taiwanese Innovation
For Filipinos discovering Taiwan Excellence for the first time, Brian Lee, Executive Director of the Strategic Marketing Department at the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), explained what the recognition represents.
“For those discovering Taiwan Excellence for the first time, it represents the very best innovation from Taiwan and is often described as the Oscars of Taiwanese industries.”
The Pavilion featured a wide range of participating brands, including Acer Incorporated, Acerpure Inc., Aetina Corporation, AiSeed Inc., Asus & ROG, AVer Information Inc., Datavideo Technologies Co. Ltd., D-Link, DEMAI Business LTD., Gigabyte, Heartway Medical Products Co., Ltd., HEPTY International Technology Co., Ltd., JIAN LING TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., KUANG YU METAL WORKING CO., LTD., Litemax Electronics Inc., MicroBase Technology Corporation, MSI, Sauber Technology Co. Ltd., Shuttle Inc., SYNTEC TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., Team Group Inc., Transcend Information, Inc., Vision Electronics Industrial Co., Ltd., and Zyxel Networks.
Together, their technologies demonstrated the variety of applications being developed across Taiwan’s technology industries and gave Filipino visitors a closer look at solutions designed for different aspects of modern life.
Where Technology Meets Everyday Experiences
The three-day program was designed around discovery and participation. On the first day, actress and content creator Ivana Alawi toured the Pavilion, interacting with participating brands and exploring featured technologies firsthand.
Following her experience, Alawi highlighted both the quality and innovation represented by Taiwan Excellence-awarded products.
“I learned a lot, and I’m very happy that these kinds of products are being brought here to the Philippines. The Taiwan Excellence Award is very difficult to earn, so you know that the products have gone through a rigorous process and are truly high quality. But it’s not just about quality. These products also represent the next level of innovation and a smarter future.”
She also emphasized how useful technology should remain practical and accessible to ordinary users.
“Technology should be easy to use, simple, and, most importantly, make our lives easier. The technologies being showcased here are also designed with safety and health in mind. So, it’s not just about having a smarter life. It’s also about having a better life.”
Product talks from Aetina, Team Group, Zyxel Networks, Jian Ling Technology, and Sauber Technology provided visitors with additional insights into technologies supporting work, connectivity, health, and other everyday requirements.
Learning, Business and AI
Technology education also became part of the Pavilion experience. On the second day, visitors could participate in two 60-minute workshops addressing artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and changing demands in modern work.
Jay Ortiz, AI Generalist of DarkSide Studio, led “AI Generalist: A Strategic Roadmap for Sustainable Success in the Age of AI.” Jesse Tan, CoFounder and VP of Sales & Marketing at PC Express, meanwhile, presented “Buy Back Your Time: The Tech Stack Every Filipino Entrepreneur Actually Needs.”
These sessions expanded the Pavilion beyond individual products by encouraging audiences to consider how technology can be incorporated into professional and entrepreneurial environments.
Familiar Filipino Faces
On the final day, actress and Taiwan Excellence ambassador Dimples Romana explored the Pavilion’s featured technologies and interactive experiences while engaging with participating brands.
“What an amazing energy coming from Taiwan Excellence, of course, here at Taiwan Expo. I’m so grateful that you all came to see us today.”
Esports personality Eric Redulfin, known as the “Godfather of Esports,” also participated in a separate Pavilion tour, adding a gaming and esports perspective to the showcase.
Visitors themselves could get involved through games including Myth or Facts, Tech Vlogger, Win-telligence Mystery Box, and Power Up Hop for Go Healthy with Taiwan. These activities transformed learning about technology into a more playful and interactive experience.
Fu Bear Meets Quiccs
One of the Pavilion’s distinctly creative elements was the Fu Bear x Quiccs collaboration. Taiwan Excellence mascot Fu Bear teamed up with Filipino contemporary artist and designer Quiccs, bringing Taiwanese identity together with Filipino pop culture.
The collaboration demonstrated another side of innovation, one where technology, art, design, and contemporary culture can intersect. It also gave the Pavilion a distinctly local connection for Filipino visitors discovering Taiwan Excellence.
Collecting Pavilion Memories
Visitors had another reason to explore the entire Pavilion through the Pavilion Journey Card. Guests could visit participating exhibitor booths and collect 10 stamps, with each stamp featuring an exhibitor’s logo.
Those who completed the journey received a wooden jeepney collectible, combining a familiar Filipino cultural symbol with the Taiwan Excellence experience. Exclusive Fu Bear merchandise was also made available to Pavilion visitors as another keepsake from the event.
A Taste of Taiwan
Technology was not the only Taiwanese experience waiting for visitors. Happy Hour boba tea provided a refreshing cultural touch, allowing guests to enjoy a popular Taiwanese favorite while exploring the Pavilion.
It was a simple addition, but one that reflected the broader character of the showcase. Technology demonstrations, games, workshops, art, collectibles, celebrity appearances, and Taiwanese culture all came together within one space.
Across three days, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at Taiwan Expo 2026 demonstrated how an innovation showcase can become more engaging when audiences are invited to participate rather than simply observe.
Through “Empowering a Smarter Future,” Taiwan Excellence gave Filipino audiences opportunities to discover award-winning Taiwanese technologies while connecting innovation with the ways people live, work, create, and play.
