Nokia today announced Nokia X7, a smartphone aimed at entertainment enthusiasts. The device is one of the first Nokia smartphones to run the updated Symbian software, with new icons and usability enhancements such as a faster browser, improved text input, and refreshed Ovi Maps.
Nokia X7 sports a large 4-inch display, which is ideal for gaming, and an 8 Megapixel camera for capturing clear pictures and HD-quality videos. A distinctively designed device, the Nokia X7's case is made of stainless steel and glass – delivering a durable and solid feel in the hand. As for games, the Nokia X7 comes preloaded with Galaxy on Fire HD and Asphalt 5 HD.
Nokia X7's updated Symbian software, called Symbian Anna, also offers a strong set of fresh features aimed at business users, including enterprise grade security with hardware accelerated encryption and new e-mail features such as support for full meeting request.
Note that Symbian Anna will also be available as the standard OS on newly shipping Nokia N8, Nokia C7, Nokia E7, and Nokia C6-01 phones, and also as a software update on previously purchased units of those models.
We're still awaiting word from Nokia Philippines on the Nokia X7's official release date and suggested retail price in the country. Kindly stay tuned for updates.
