LG G4 Note with Stylus Flagship Phablet, Leaked? Or Could It Be Another Model Altogether?

LG is becoming more and more confident and fierce in going to head to head with Samsung amidst the former's triumphant sales performance last year with best-selling releases including LG G3, LG L Fino, and LG G3 Beat.

This year, it appears that LG will even try to give Samsung a run for the money in the flagship phablet with stylus category with (what LG fans are already touting as) the upcoming Note version of the 2015 flagship, LG G4.

Unlike last year's LG G3 Stylus with Rubberdium Pen, which was positioned as a upper midrange release for users who are not quite ready yet to get a top-of-the-line model but want to enjoy the benefits of a large screen and a writing tool for capacitive display, the LG G4 Note will be a co-flagship release with the standard G4 and is expected to have an even more expensive price tag.

In these purported in-the-flesh shots of the LG G4 Note (first uploaded on the XDA Forums), it is impossible not to notice what appears to be a slot on the upper portion of the back panel of the phablet where - most likely - the user can tuck in the stylus the goes with this model, which will obviously be its main selling point apart from the large display, good imaging capabilities, and stellar internal hardware.

Speaking of which, according to "industry insiders", the LG G4 Note is equipped with a 5.6-inch Quad HD IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, and a 16 MegaPixel camera at the back with Dual Tone LED flash and Laser Autofocus. In terms of software, they say that this model will run Android 5.0.1 Lollipop right out of the box with LG's UX interface serving as skin and as a vehicle for the company's unique and useful applications like QuickMemo+, VoiceMate, and QSlide.

As of writing, Korean Giant LG Mobile has yet to confirm nor deny the veracity of these leaks and reports. If you ask me, though, I think these photos are legit and it's only a matter of time before the company officially announces it along with other 2015 models in various categories.

Update as of March 28, 2015, 12:10 AM: A friend from the XDA forums who's a big LG fan has just told me that the device depicted in these photos could very well be just the 2015 follow-up to the LG G3 Stylus from last year. He told me, "Mark, it's most likely the LG G4 Stylus and it will be powered by a 64-bit Quad Core ARM Cortex A53 and Adreno 405 GPU based Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 MSM8936 chipset with LTE support. It's a chipset for 2015 midrange smartphones -- but there's still a chance that this could be something else."
