Microsoft's Maximum Windows 7 Netbook Specs
We are already a bit behind on this -- but we're publishing it anyway so our readers know what to expect of Netbooks once Windows 7 is launched in October. Here are the maximum Windows 7 netbook specs that Microsoft is currently pushing for:
![netbook specs, netbook, windows 7](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_toHBmustczAtT3jckuJtOB112Faai76QxAMYujUwL6XIEvJVcgAK-VMVnuWWhStrgRGdMT3OnDKA2Nelp--1Gw7HgF0hNzqm5Ay08Y6T_O0zt6V1ruJMmFQrtf1g=s0-d)
OK, if netbook manufacturers will adhere to this, Window 7 Starter units will max out at 10.2-inch screens and run on just 1GB of RAM, 250GB hard drives or 64GB SSDs, and single-core processors under 2GHz. Should you want something with higher specs out of the box, then it'd be best to leave netbook out and go for a full-blown notebook.
