Windows 7 Prices Announced !

Microsoft has just disclosed the pricing scheme for its newest Operating System - Windows 7:

For those who will be upgrading from their current licensed Vista or XP OS, you can get Windows 7 starting on October 22 for:

$119.99 - Windows 7 Home Premium
$199.99 - Windows 7 Professional
$219.99 - Windows 7 Ultimate

The full retail (not from upgrade) price scheme of Windows 7 is as follows:

$199.99 - Windows 7 Home Premium
$299.99 - Windows 7 Professional
$319.99 - Windows 7 Ultimate

But here's the great part, especially for the vigilant ones: Starting tomorrow, June 26, you may pre-order upgrades for much cheaper prices:

$49.99 for Home Premium
and $99.99 for Professional,

Pre-orders, however, will be very very limited.

And another thing: Some participating computer manufacturers will offer free upgrades to Windows 7 on NEW computers running on Vista sold starting tomorrow. You might want to inquire about this freebie when you purchase your new PC.
