Steve Jobs to Return to Apple this Month ?

Citing anonymous sources, Wall Street Journal has just reported that Apple CEO Steve Jobs is set to return to the Cupertino company in June; Incidentally coinciding with Worldwide Developers Conference, opening on Monday in San Francisco. The conference will center on the App Store and the exciting new features of the iPhone OS 3.0. And it's also speculated that Apple will finally unveil a new iPhone during the conference.

Back in January, Jobs publicly announced that he would step down temporarily from the CEO position while recovering from a hormone imbalance (that apparently hinders his body from absorbing protein). In August 2004, Jobs underwent surgery to treat a rare pancreatic cancer.

In his absence, Steve Job's executive functions in Apple were somehow filled in by Tim Cook, the company's Chief Operating Officer. Vice President of Marketing Philip Schiller, on the other hand, is set to deliver the upcoming WWDC keynote address - just like what he did during the Macworld conference earlier this year, assuming Steve Jobs' customary role.
