Apple iPad 3 Cases Start Shipping from China Ahead of iPad3 Launch

TechPinas Exclusive!

Apple iPad 3, the latest tablet from the Cupertino company, hasn't even been officially announced yet. But case manufacturers from China - where the slate is being assembled - just couldn't seem to hold their horses any longer.

If you go to Alibaba - a leading China-based e-commerce website for small businesses - and search for "iPad3 cases", you'll find a number of manufacturers that have gone out of their way - perhaps, wisely (or maybe not) - to offer and ship cases way ahead of the official unveiling of the much-awaited Apple iDevice.

Now, if these cases are any reliable in giving us a hint to the actual design of the iPad3, then it's quite obvious that the new Apple tablet will look almost identical to its predecessor. Looking at these designs, I believe that iPad3 will still have tapered sides, camera with no LED flash on the upper left corner and speaker grill on the lower left portion of the back panel, volume rocker on the right side, and power button and 3.5mm audio jack at the top panel. This is interesting because if the next slate indeed looks just like iPad2, based on Apple's product nomenclature, iPad 2S would be a more fitting name for it.
