Samsung Galaxy S6 Camera Sample Shots and Selfies Are Quite Impressive

Aside from featuring stellar internal hardware and a luxurious design language, it appears that Samsung Galaxy S6's imaging capabilities are also another thing that makes this smartphone probably the best flagship-level release that you can get this year.

Samsung Galaxy S6 sports a 16 MegaPixel (3456 x 4608 pixels) autofocus main camera with Optical Image stabilization, single-bulb LED flash, and an ISOCELL sensor (similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S5). Key features, which we will discuss in greater detail when we get a unit, include Quick Launch, Tracking AF, Auto Real-time HDR, F1.9, High Clear Zoom, IR Detect White Balance, Virtual Shot, Slow Motion, Fast Motion, Pro Mode, and Selective Focus.

Complementing the 16 MegaPixel shooter at the back is a 5 MegaPixel fixed focus front cam for selfies. It comes with various models including Wide Selfie, Virtual Shot, and Interval Shot apart from the usual Beauty Mode that instantly "retouches" your skin to bring out your best look for self-portraits that are great for sharing on Facebook, Twitter, or Intagram. Here are sample shots taken using SGS6's front-facing camera:

Looking at these photos in full resolution and seeing how brilliant and crisp they are, I'm quite impressed. As a tech blogger who attends many events - both fun and corporate - and as someone who loves to take selfies and photos with my friends and loved ones, a camera duo on a powerhouse smartphone is a must-have for me and given that, to be honest, I'm seriously thinking about getting Samsung Galaxy S6 when it finally becomes available here in the Philippines.
