Asus Eee PC in the Philippines

This is just an entry to collate all info that TechPinas has on the Asus EEE PC (or eeePC, for some).

But first, what is Asus eeePC? Well, quoting Wikipedia:

The Asus Eee PC ("Eee" is pronounced [iː] as in "see") is a subnotebook/netbook computer by Asus and a part of the Asus Eee product family. At the time of its introduction in late 2007, it was noted for its combination of a light weight, Linux operating system, solid-state drive and relatively low cost. Newer models have added the option of Windows XP operating system and traditional hard disk drives. Newer models have also increased in price, though they remain relatively inexpensive as laptops, and notably inexpensive for ultra-small laptops.
According to Asus, the name Eee derives from "the three Es," an abbreviation of its advertising slogan for the device: "Easy to learn, Easy to work, Easy to play"

Off hand, the 3 most popular eeePC models in the Philippines are the following:
Asus Eee PC 701
Asus Eee PC 901
Asus Eee PC 1000H

TechPinas has gathered info on these models via Netbook Mania, you may read almost complete user info (photos , videos , specs and even pricing!) on these models here:
Eee PC 701
Eee PC 901
Eee PC 1000H

Needless to say, newer models have eclipsed these 3 not only looks-wise but moreso in specs. Chicklet-style keyboards and slimmer frames, for example, were introduced rather recently. Faster processors and bigger screens have also become more common in new EeePCs.

Here are our reviews of some of the newer Eee PCs:
Asus Eee PC 1004DN - with DVD Burner!
Asus Eee PC 1005HA and 1008HA SeaShell Range - Slim and Sexy Line
Asus Eee PC 1002HAE and 1002HA - Similar except for their processors

There you go! :) I hope you find this entry helpful -- in case, you are planning to arm yourself with a netbook soon. Expect to get more Eee PC news and reviews from TechPinas in the days and years to come.
